    Match preview;
    After a splendid start to 2024, with a fantastic win against Watford, next up is another visit from a club just north of London, as Luton Town visit Loftus Road. We've now recorded one loss in our last ten games, the 3-0 loss away at Swansea, but other than that we've won five and drawn four. Those 19 points have lifted us to 15th in the table, with 29 points, 7 from the drop zone and 10 away from the top six. A win on Monday and we'll hopefully break clear of at least one of the four other teams who sit on 29 points...Millwall, Coventry and Preston being the other 3.

    As for our visitors, they've lost 4 and won 2 of their last six games, and sit 20th with 25 points, so only one loss above the drop zone if results go against them. Their top scorer is Carlton Morris, with 7 goals so far this season. They have a good mix of younger players alongside more experienced players, such as Tim Kruhl and Victor Moses, but they'll be needing points on the board asap if they are to avoid getting sucked into a relegation battle, and head towards the dreaded double relegation, having dropped down from the Premier League last year.

    Not related to this match, but I was interested to note as I updated the 'Players who have played for both' list (and I know you'll come up with some obscure players I missed from the 1950's) that Luke Freeman left them in 2023 and now plays for Barnet. Probably not what he had planned when he left us in 2019 for Sheffield United, where he only made 16 appearances before being loaned out to Forest then Millwall before being released and then picked up by Luton. I'd love to see some of our current crop of younger players look at his career and realise it isn't always best to jump at the first opportunity you get to move to the top flight. Sticking with a team and developing as the team develops has many advantages to it. Maybe I am too much of an idealist...but it'd be nice to see happen.

    Team news and manager comments to go up when on the official...enjoy if you'll make it to HQ on Monday night, and as always...

    ...COME ON YOU SUPER HOOPSA!!!

    Nice one Dave

    I can't make this one but 3 of the lads who work with me here in Doha are on a trip to the UK for the first time and have got tickets - they wanted to experience 'Quality English Football'......

    Thx Dave. I do hope we can win this one. They are not nice fans. Not far behind Millwall in terms of Neanderthal score.

    Four home wins on the bounce against a dreadful away team. What can go wrong?

    Struggling to add to the list of players. Will think of someone if it kills me. Had high hopes for Keith Rowland but he’s there.

    A win will take us 13th and closer points wise to the playoffs than relegation… we’re not going to win are we.

    Just looked at the table too, great chance to move up. We can do it...they are below us and the break was a welcome rest bite.
