Honestly pal, nothing begins to come close. Apparently $200M blown on it. I’d say watch it for the experience but it’s a total waste of 2 hours plus of your life.

First episode of season 2 of Rogue Heroes on BBC...great fun. Yes, it's slightly exagerrated for tv, but these men really did run towards the battle with the odds severly stacked against them time after time, and lived to tell the tale. Great entertainment

Just started the second season of squid games on Netflix, binges series 1 over Christmas, enjoyed it more second time around, three episodes in, it’s building.
Korean tv like K pop is a little obvious but enjoyable

No spoilers, but it's about three episodes short I reckon, must've rushed it out.

If you like Squid Game, look out for Alice in Borderland...it's Japanese, and far better than Squid Game (and possibly more violent). Two seasons of that to watch.

If you like Korean TV, try All Of Us Are Dead - it's mental zombie ****

This is doing the rounds on BBC Scotland just now...

    Simple Minds: Everything Is Possible

The inspirational story of how a group of working class kids growing up in post-industrial Glasgow dared to dream. Those kids became Simple Minds, the most iconic and influential Scottish band in history.

Hidden hand events - including the punk explosion, the emergence of MTV and the impact of Live Aid - appeared out of nowhere to propel Simple Minds, not only into its existence and on to global success, but also to reboot the band.

At the very heart of Simple Minds dwells the ongoing friendship between Jim Kerr and his songwriting partner Charlie Burchill. The pair met in the shadow of a brand new Glasgow council tower block in 1967 and subsequently forged a relationship that changed both their lives in a way that neither of them could ever have imagined.

Everything Is Possible is a music-inspired human interest story imbued with social history, politics and activism. It features previously unseen family and band archive along with iconic footage from Live Aid and the Mandela 70th Birthday Tribute, and is set to Simple Minds’ cinematic songbook of hits and rarities, including I Travel, Someone, Somewhere in Summertime, Promised You a Miracle and Don’t You (Forget About Me), Alive and Kicking, Belfast Child and Mandela Day

I used to love Simple Minds but this ended when I went to see them in Milton Keynes in 1986. The gig - tickets for which we'd bought months earlier - turned out to take place on the same day as England's World Cup QF against Argentina, the Hand of God game. Jim Kerr came on stage and decided it would be fun to take the piss out of the fact that England had lost. ****er.

"A Complete Unknown", the Bob Dylan life story was excellent, and cast members performed the songs too. After Boxing Day visiting we saw this as a double bill, along with "Babyface", starring Nicole Kidman, a movie not in same class but a good bit of slap & tickle with a young controlling intern.

Watched 'The Bikeriders' film on the plane this week

A good but thoroughly violent story of how the motorbike gangs started in the US and turned into the Hells Angels

The lad Austin Butler was pretty good but Tom Hardy turning into the next Michael Caine ie.just being himself in each role he takes

Jodie Comer is the real star in most things she does. Still amazed by the quality of her accents and role playing as the murderous Villanelle in Killing Eve. Scousers seem to be very good at dropping their native accents when they need to. Compare Shaun Evans in Endeavour to Shaun Evans in real life when the Morse prequel came to its natural end when the story caught up with the start of the original Inspector Morse series and the cast reminisced about the last 10 years working on the drama. Not the only one. The love of his life, Inspector Thursday's daughter, Joan who had a perfectly natural London/Oxford accent turned out to be a wee Scottish lass with a very soft lilting almost grandmotherly natural voice.
