I see the SpreadEX deal is ending this season. So I expect a new sponsor. I’m a massive kit nerd so I hope the logo is nice.

Anyone heard of any rumblings regarding a new sponsor?

Dead against all of it, not only sport. why should we pay to advertise some companys merchandise. you cant go anywhere now without seeing clothing with a company name or logo on, and we pay to advertise it.

Do we? I thought they paid us?

We buy the shirts however.

I don't like betting firms on shirts but for a club the size of ours it's probably the best option for additional revenue. Unless we have any local companies with pots of extra cash who can help? :emoticon-0102-bigsm

I’ve always liked the Nissan logo but they are probably a bit too big to sponsor us or maybe they just wouldn’t be interested.

They (Nissan) were rumoured to be sponsoring us for years but never did as the corporate folks at Washington are a mix of Sunderland and Mag and as such it was considered too partisan, so I'm told.

The modern incarnation of Vaux is certainly too small to even get a seat at the table to discuss being a shirt sponsor, even though it has sentimental value.

Hotel Chocolate, apparently one of the founders is from Sunderland so this would be a nice full circle moment.

Berghaus would be another good shout as it is headquartered in the area.

Won’t be Nissan given they are having to merge with Honda to not gan bust.

Would agree would be good to not be a gambling company, but with the ban looming they will be outbidding everyone who’s shirt is up for grabs.
