Tbf they are changing the ethos of the club right there
Tbf to United they were always really good to their ex players as a general rule
Personally I think this is a disgrace but they won’t be the last club to do it

An absolute drop in the ocean for the (rightly so) backlash it’ll cause.

About 1 days wages for Mason Mount to put it into context

Meanwhile, not all is going well since the much-vaunted Ratcliffe-Ineos takeover.

if they’re looking for savings at that level, it’s redundancies next and a massive indicator that they’re in trouble financially….in relation to ffp/psr or whatever it is these days.

thought they had already announced a bunch of job cut .

just checked, you’re right, they let go 250 people <yikes>

to be fair, it’s pretty normal that businesses restructure during tighter times. If they’re financed for CL and don’t have it, there are implications. Growth is critical. You either grow the top line or you cut costs to a point where you can grow your bottom line. FSG would be no different in a crisis I suspect. It wouldn’t be so bad for Utd had they not lost hundreds of millions on poor player acquisitions.

feels different when you pay £1.25bn for 25% of the club but apparently need to get rid of loads of long serving employees to save money while giving ETH a new contract then sacking him , buying Dan Ashworth out of his contract with NUFC then sacking him 6 months later and paying Brailsford god knows how much to oversee this shambles .

It's the fact that Ratcliffe fancies himself as a businessman who goes in and is tough.

He's gone in there and done one thing right. Told ferguson to get the hell out.

After thst he's gone in and attacked the staff to look like he is a clean broom.

He appointed a dof then immediately sacked him when he didn't like what he was being told.

In short utd have sold up a tinpot dictator.

And guess who keeps getting their slice of the pie while this guy will be the headlines?
Yes the glaziers.

Love how refs just never book anyone for diving these days.

Kdb was pathetic dive, ref sees it and gives a goal kick.

never going to stamp it out if players aren’t punished for it

Neville (who has spent most of this Man City game ****ing himself silly over De Bryune), has just had the audacity to say City had been good and well thought out in transfers under Guardiola

Yeah that's why the spunked £100m on Grealish,
Spent actual money on Phillips
let Palmer go and a number of other promising young players
brought back a semi-retired Gundogan,
bought god knows how many Fullback to just cast them off
Bought CB's just to play them at FB and then complain they don't have any CB's

Forest in second right now

Yes, you win nothing in December though.

They have to now show the hunger to go on.

I can recall a few times sides have started well and just vanished down the table as the season has gone on.

They have to keep pushing if they want to achieve something.

Hopefully they will

No you don't... And 9/10 the unexpected "small club" near the top of the table at Christmas is in the mid table in May. That said, if it weren't for us (and we could quickly fall with the wrong injuries) it does feel slightly like when Leicester won. Most of the "big teams" are having poor years and don't look like they want to win.

Maybe.

However even excluding us Forest simply have never had a lead they are just there abouts with another cheating club Chelsea for the cl spots.
