Really is a big game for both clubs.

16 Sunderland 13 1 3 3 10 9 1 2 3 5 6 0 11
17 Wolverhampton 13 2 1 3 8 10 1 1 5 5 13 -10 11
18 Blackburn 14 2 0 5 10 15 0 4 3 11 17 -11 10
19 Bolton 14 1 0 6 9 19 2 0 5 10 15 -15 9
20 Wigan 14 1 2 4 8 15 1 1 5 4 13 -16 9

Am I the only one who thought it was a foul? Fletcher (I think) went across him and although Larson swan dived ridiculously, it would've been a complete clash of legs and a blatant foul?

Not a lot of difference between him and Sturridge, they were both going down without contact - but the contact would've/was there. A case of winning a penalty rather than being fouled?

I think Sturridge's was more of a definite penalty than Larsson. Cabaye definitely clipped Sturridge's legs and caused him to fall.
From what I saw, Larsson's legs may have been brushed, and then he made a meal of it. Not seen too many replays yet though! Could be wrong.

The cheat was going down BEFORE any contact. Therefore dive. Contact does not automatically equal foul.

If, like Larcheat, someone is going down before contact then he is not going down due to any subsequent contact therefore cannot be a foul. Sturridge at least waited for contact before going down.

Weh from what I saw, Larson jumped over the trailing leg after drawing the foul - the lad commited himself and timed it wrong...If Larson had simply ran normally he'd have been taken down, as it was he dived, but it was a foul anyway.

Gutierrez makes the most of things as well, but whether he almost does a back flip or not, a shirt pull is a foul!

Fletcher is a class finisher on his day. I wouldn't mind having him but Wolves would demand too much money. <ok>

So's mine!

And we had him put down 2 years ago.

Poor fella. He was definitely a NUFC fan though.

:(

I have two dogs. I had one that died in the same week as the september 11th bombings. Not a good week :(

Nah he drew the foul - and contact without touching the ball (if it impedes the player - which that would've done) IS a foul...

I don't really care like, but for everyone screaming that he's a ****, I think he just over-acted something that is standard practice week in week out!
