Very good interviews with both Ruben Selles and Regan Slater from yesterday's press conference. Both speak really well. Regan quite revealing about the change in regime, and honest that there are no more excuses now - they need to do it for the new manager. I've been disappointed with Regan's final ball in the last two games, but would definitely stick with him. Think he'll push on under Selles and have to say I think he's captain material.
Talking a good game. Time to actually show something on the pitch

Selles could do worse than sitting the squad down and showing them this...

Indeed.

Unfortunately that Great Escape team included hard bastards, characters and winners…the current team is too easy to beat.. One can only hope the transfer market or Santa brings a bit of attitude desire and belief to the current squad because without it I fear we are well and truly f’ck no matter who’s in charge.

UTT.

Remember so much of this clearly, it was my first year with a season pass and also first year me and my mate allowed to go to a couple of away games on our own . Luckily my mum wasn’t too good at geography so I used a little poetic licence when explaining how far away places were … I remember that Darlington away game with the Brabin volley , believe the youngsters these days would describe it as limbs on the terraces .

If we don’t win tomorrow, it doesn’t set us up very well for the second half of the season and gives Ruben an even bigger task than he already has. We would need promotion form just to climb to safety, a win once every two games until the end of the season without fail and hope we manage a couple of draws in there as well.

We need a goal scorer in January as a priority. I want to see that before anything else, frankly.

We need more than that, we need a spine of John Whitney’s!

Great vibes from Ruben Selles in that pre-match press conference. I’m pleased I watched it. I always worry about a potential language barrier and getting a message across but no concerns now. He’s clearly an intelligent, level-headed person who I think the players and fans will respect. Looking forward to seeing the lineup now. UTT.
