I wasn't saying it was, just the previous poster said we couldn't sell 1000 tickets for Chelsea away, despite having sold more than that for a team that is further away than Chelsea.
Good excuse to sign Jukebox in the January sales! Anyone who can score against Pompey is a hero already!
love it how a Portsmouth fan comes to gloat about a cup draw, I guess the luck of the draw is is all they can hope for these days
Worst possible result in my book not really exciting but then tricky enought that we may lose and even if you want us out of the cup and we play our reserves we could still win cant imagine anyone being thrilled!
I'm not gloating, I genuinely think getting Chelsea away is boring. I was hoping for someone not in the premiership or championship.
I was hoping for a home tie. Must admit that I love the Third Round of the cup and always look forwards to this match after Christmas. It is still a great competition and the one-off chance for a spot of giant killing always ensures that it has the potantial to be compelling. Nice to see the two Manchester trams drawn against each other. In my opinion, the cup is better when the teams left in it have a strong local identity and are not amongst the top 6 in the country. I would suggest that the competition means more to these kinds of fans than the likes of Arsenal whose are probably indifferent as see the compotetion as a sop for not winning the league again or failure in Europe. Saints' tie is not too difficult but I said the same about yesterday's Doncaster game. Hopefully we can like forwards to a home tie in the next round. I quite like seeing clubs from the lower levels about whom I know nothing about and it would have been nice to have drawn a 2nd Divison side. Quite enjoyed the 1st and 2nd round ties in the last few seasons but I will miss the third round this season as it is impossible to get to many away matches unless they are clubs local to where my sister lives in Lancashire. Can't see Pompey progressing though, I'm afraid.
Don't think it's that bad for Pompey. They will make some money, perhaps with a replay, and not get distracted from avoiding relegation. A win would be unlikely but can happen. Our draw, however, is neither one thing nor the other.
