Boothferry Park for me every time.
At the end of its life BP was a dump, and we never had any proper success there. No City fan that went to the open day, on the Sunday, prior to the KC opening could not fail to be impressed by it. Walking into the new stadium the only word for it was 'wow'. :emoticon-0138-think

I remember City playing Portsmouth. It was probably late 70s. I caught the train from the city centre to Boothferry Halt.
The carriage was rammed with Pompey fans who were fortunately good natured.
The train ride up was all part of the match day experience.

'Match day experience', **** right off to ****, and in the words of Rover, 'then **** off some more'. :emoticon-0138-think

I bought one of those original bricks they laid outside the KC when it opened. I’m pretty sure the ****s pulled them up a few years later. Minus one point.

I fell in love with City at Boothferry as a little nipper. Plus one point.

I played on the Boothferry Park pitch, bowling green. Plus one point.

BP unfortunately ended up in bad repair but that was the successive owners that caused that rather than BP itself, so not the old girls fault. No point either way.

the KC is a lovely if far from perfect stadium, but more than fit for the PL. plus one point.

Score? Who cares? Two different places at different times. amazing memories at both. Love them both. So a draw!

It's strange as the KC seemed like a new wonder of the world when we first moved into it. To have a new, shiny 25,000 capacity stadium whilst still a mid-table team in [what's now] League Two? It almost seemed inevitable that it would propel us to great heights, though one look at Darlington will tell you that it may not have been the case. Now, it already looks a bit worn and dated. Likewise with other grounds of similar size, style and age, such as Wigan, Bolton, Huddersfield, etc. I'll never love it as a stadium, but as a place where amazing footballing memories have been made? Only Wembley can beat it :)

Boothferry Park had a more consistent atmosphere - and less ‘plastic’ fans. Now the plastics have gone and it has been a long time, KC wins.

I also wish we could change the name back to KC. ‘KC Stadium’ just sounds better too.
