Don't know if UAE prisons are like the ones here... but he'd probably be getting a whole lot more sex in prison... not necessarily any he would enjoy.
Agreed. I don't really see it as a big deal at all, you should always be aware of the laws of the place you're traveling to. Particularly when it's a nation known for harsh sentencing and of a vastly different culture.
Yep. He’s gone to another country and broken their laws so they’re dealing with him accordingly. I don’t agree with the comments saying it’s harsh… folk need to change the western mindset. I don’t agree when people from another country come here, break the law and try to use the excuse that it’s okay in their country and culture…
Find it really difficult to read this without my blood pressure getting to an unhealthy high ... Life imprisonment just doesn't feel like 'justice' ... https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/cn9x0w9r878t
Fully agree ... have always told my girls to read up on their destinations and to respect not just the law but also the culture and customs ... The lad is either ignorant or arrogant and neither is an excuse - and his parents were completely irresponsible too, if they didn't talk to him about those subjects ...
He deffo got mk ultra'd Allegedly he disappeared from his family and friends for 3 months before this happened. Man got swept up by the men in black and chocolate oranged for sure
Mind you, the mother of the girl is bang out of order - unless there was anything untoward in the lead up - it's her daughter she should have been talking to - shopping the lad is rather vindictive and won't bring back her daughter's virginity - assuming it was her first time ....
I lost my shhite with someone in real life one time, over hitting a child. I don't know how the conversation came about but this guy chatted about hitting his daughter, now he's a big guy, heavy build (and that was all that was in my mind) and the convo went along the lines of I don't hit her too hard, so I challenged him and asked what is too hard...anyway it all kicked off, and I told him to look at his size and strength and what he might not consider to be too hard, could actually injure a child, I know if he hit me not too hard he'd probably knock me out, but sometimes you just got to speak up when you hear about this sort of shhite. And why is it with all these child abuse cases there always seems to be a 'step' parent involved or not protecting the child - maybe I'm just subconsciously seeing that word (step) and it's not really the case, but it certainly seems like it to me.
Yeah for this sort of stuff unless there are hugely significant extenuating or mitigating circumstances, I'd be fully in favour of the death penalty. Monsters like these don't deserve to draw another breath.
Been listening to the Sara Sharif family sentencing of the father, stepmother & uncle. Sounds horrific what they did to that kid, involving a hot iron, iron bar and boiling water. I knew it was beatings, I thought that was by human hand*, didn't realise that it involved implements as well. I see the government is going to look at the law about home tuition - prevention measures are certainly required, so a child can be checked upon a regular basis. Although it means we also need to fix social services first, and making sure they have an adequate number of people and funding to do the job. * point being there is that the father had tried to play down what he had done, something the judge has spoken about in sentencing, when it's clear by the use of implements it was just pure evil brutality. Judge has described it as torture.
Uncle being sentenced for allowing the death of a child, even though there is no evidence he played any part in it - because he had moved into the family home, about 8 months before her death I think the judge said. And the judge says he must have known what was going on, especially as she was hooded and tied, let alone the severe beatings by implements. He failed to help the child and disposed of evidence (his mobile phone). Life minimum 40 years for father Life minimum 33 years for stepmother 16 years in prison for the uncle (that's a minimum term)
Oh well one of my questions has been answered. It appears affiliating home taught children to a school would not be acceptable to the families, so it's a no goer and would cause conflict. It's fine for children who are part home taught the rest school, that they report to the school, say for example at least once a month. I still think personally I can't see why home taught children are not affiliated to a school, but then I don't know the actual numbers we are talking about, I'd certainly be asking the questions though.
The guy that murdered those kids in Southport, appeared in court today. As he didn't communicate for whatever reason, the judge submitted a plea for him of not guilty.
Yeah I guessed that was the score, well my thoughts should I say, believing that's probably why the judge pleaded for him.
