Why would it be a legal matter?

We got more decisions wrong against us last season than anyone else in the league which cost us promotion. Roughly £130 million and the forced sale of some of our squad.

We will get an apology letter again for today's lack of a red card. Probably cost us 2 points.

All these letters are admissions of wrongdoing by the referees association. I suppose I'm just asking at what point is it seen to be negligent enough for so many decisions to go against one club.

If we consistently receive apologies more than any other club then there's an argument that its not an accident or coincidence any more.

Thing is even if they were down to ten men with a red card there’s no guarantee we’d have scored at all. They’d have packed ten in the box and made no attempt to play

There are a couple of things over the last 3 or 4 years where I've genuinely thought we are targeted.

There's the recent evidence that a ref had already decided to book Alioski so his mates won money.

One that's overlooked is our first game back in the PL at Anfield. Struijk gave a penalty away after the ball bounced up off his thigh and on to his arm. After that game they changed the rules so that wouldn't be a penalty in future. In my eyes, that meant we were playing by different rules to the rest of the league as the rule was only changed after we had lost the game. Fast forward to White Hart Lane and Harry Kane handled the ball as it headed in to the net for an equaliser for us. Penalty wasn't given as the rule had been changed. We were ****dd over twice by that one.

Then there was the Paddy one when his hand was offside. Rule was relaxed afterwards so we were the ones ****ed over again.

Chelsea away. Poveda brought down in the box by Rudiger. Stone cold penalty. Not given in the game due to him going down too easily. Apology received by the ref. Next season, Rudiger goes down like a sack of **** after minimal contact. Penalty given straight away. Chelsea played to different rules to us in that league.

Its not a coincidence anymore in my eyes. Maybe I'm pissed off and down in the dumps but I've felt that way for a while. The big moments never go in our favour.

Absolutely agree. It would however have made it much more difficult for them and much easier for us.

I don't generally go in on referees and I rarely mention it. Today was ridiculous and just adds to last seasons poor decisions. I watch Burnley, Sheff Utd, Sunderland, West Brom etc and they just don't get the same **** decisions as we do. If anything it seems they get a leg up at times.

It's because they want us in this league <doh>...money talks and they know we bring it <ok>

Problem you have is trying to *prove* that we would have gone on to win all/any of these games (as pointed out by Eire).

If you have evidence that you are treated differently than your peers then 'sporting integrity' is compromised.

It was a throwaway comment to be fair. I was basically wondering if and when a club could in theory financially challenge the referee association or even the FA. I think the Forest owner said something last year about suing VAR.

But you can’t and he didn’t. Wolves and others made the same complaint so once you have multiple clubs claiming bias how do you prove it’s only us being singled out? I’m not saying that we aren’t being cheated just that there’s no way of proving it legally.

That's why all referees are ****ing ****s :emoticon-0148-yes:

Just rewatched their goal again. Piss poor goalkeeping, piss piss poor. Any semi decent goalie saves that. With respect to Eire, because I’m usually in lockstep with him, but our defence generally concedes less shots at goal than other teams, which is why we don’t let in many. They can’t, however, stop every team from having a shot, so the least they can expect is for Mes to save the odd one. It’s too many times now that the first shot on target goes into our net to call it bad luck. We need to get a decent keeper in on loan in January if we want promotion.
