Keita going on loan from Bremen to Ferencvaros in January. He's not played for Bremen since April when he refused to travel for a game against Leverkusen.
By that logic, neither can we. The gap between us and Spurs is smaller than the gap between Spurs and Arsenal Not that all of us do moan
He was one of Klopp's few poor signings. I hope he sorts himself out to have some sort of (whatever's left of his) career. He doesn't appear to have fitted in anywhere.
The warning signs started at leipzig when he remained for the year. His attitude asn't good there and the mission games started. He was OK for a tine then the constant niggly stuff started. Imo he mostly made them up as others just play through things without issue. He had a few real injuries though For me the players who are just hungry are south American. I've never really seen any who will lay down aside from neymar and Ronaldinho. The likes or suarez, nunez, macallister and many more just can't not play. Keita is not alone in his attitude though. Chiesa looks to be another now and players like kewell stole a living. We bought him probably just as he was exploding and was in demand but I doubt we saw the issues. The second we did the deal though....
One of the most frustrating signings I can remember. Cost an absolute fortune for the time, had to wait 12 months to see him and he was just never the player we were waiting for (he looked some talent the season before the deal was signed). Still pitched in for some of our success, but could’ve been so much more
The annoying thing was his debut was great as well. Weirdly remember it was against West Ham and was a real box to box drive forward with the ball which was great to watch. His pressing was brilliant
Yeah you could see there was a talented player there with Keita just no drive and determination. Similar to Pogba and Baloteli had the talent but no real drive or mental strength
He scored the first goal in the 5-0 defeat of the Clog-Sparkers at OT a couple of years ago. Some good memories. But that 2nd half shot at the corner flag from the penalty spot against Real in the CL final in 2022 sort of erases that one.
Cunha from wolves? Someone better than wolves is going to snap him up. Has looked quality for them. 12 goals last year. 8 in 16 this season Can play up top but also drift wider if needed.
