I thought about Xmas day volunteering some years ago. Couldn’t find a charity that wanted more people on Xmas day, it’s a popular gig. They get organised quite early and it’s harder having too many volunteers than it is having too few. When my kids were young I loved the magic of Xmas, just not the same with grumpy teenagers. Any tips to get the magic back?
We are thinking about doing some volunteering work with the homeless or something on Xmas day to give us a purpose.
OLMs posts has given me some hope the magic will return when we hopefully get grand kids in 15 years….

Santa will be black , gay and have a Rainbow coloured tunic on , no beard because he’s transitioning and wants referring to as The Elf person .

Watched a repeat of the programme on the freeze of '47 on Ch 5 Saturday night after I got back from City. Properly put this weekend's storm in perspective. Power cuts, near starvation and floods. 'a bit wet and windy' just doesn't compare. If you think the weather is bad, showing now the big freeze of winter 63 is on the telly, Channel 5 select.
