Went to the game today and we bossed it with no killer or clinical edge yet again.

As someone has posted already about reducing expectations I suggest we do that now. Whilst our home form is fantastic and it should carry us around the playoffs there is no chance we will win this league.

One injury and were a shadow of our normal side it was your typical huff and puff performance without any end product.

But I am Southampton and I am proud.

Just not very happy.
 
NA has said if we don't gain promotion this season we try again the next.
If not next year then the year after etc...

The job he has done is perfect!

Of course expectations have sky rocketed.
But if someone said in August Saints would be in the top 2 come mid December then you would have laughed at them!

We are over achieving massively and given our good form overall I am sure NA and NC would be willing to make an addition in January to push us for the final assault

As NA said, you will have off-days and today was one of them.

One thing is certain, we will come back stronger!

Well considering we're in 1st position after 20 games, we have a better chance of winning the league than any of the other 23 teams.

Interesting that you say we bossed it, that at least is positive, just on the day it was the barn door syndrome? That should not be too difficult to address, it is up to NA to address the problem and turn things around, only a matter of time methinks?
 
We controlled all the possesion and apart from lacking in the final third it wasn't all doom and gloom.

Maybe I come across negative in posting this but I had just got back and was on a downer!

I am sure were still do alright this season and today I feel less pi**ed off about it. We do however have to sort out this away form.
 
Tbh yeah, this thread is negative but he has a good point. There's no point just flaming the thread because it is a forum as he said and everyones entitled to state their opinions. Just look at our away record since the first 2 away games...

6/24 points -> NOT GOOD ENOUGH!
 
our away record has moved from average leaning towards good to poor. Even just the win at pompey (how can I saw just!) and a continuation of our superb home form, is promotion form. we're still on 2.1 points/game!
