Just looked at the Newcastle stats and they had nine corners ...

... no attempts on target and only one off target.

That's appalling against a team that's won one game this season.
Wonder if the Saudis call it quits with the unwashed. I think it was posted on here about them wanting to invest more money in their own country and shrink down their overseas investments. They might sell the mags back to fat Mike for a quid <laugh>

It's an interesting question.

How much credit and admiration have they earned from their massive investment?

I'll tell you something that only recently dawned on me and it's quite astounding considering the intelligence you'd assume these people have. The whole concept of 'sportswashing' is that an evil empire, to put it crudely, invests money into something that appeals to the public such as golf, tennis, boxing or whatever. The evil empire then appears less evil and gains a greater degree of public acceptance.

The fatal flaw, with the purchase of NUFC, is that the evil empire were forced into a situation whereby they had to pretend they had no involvement in order to complete the deal. So there's no reflected glory, if there ever will be any, because we're told the owners are actually just a hard working group of faceless investors.

Even if Newcastle win the triple the Saudi State can't claim the credit ...

... Boris told us they had nothing to do with it.

The whole thing is absolutely f*cking hilarious <laugh>

Are Stavely and her fella still going to the games? They were on about reducing their share weren't they? Whole thing has a 'pack of cards' feel about it.
