He’s not a mug like Ole. Doesn’t mean he’ll be a success as it’s a huge job with a weird squad not really suited to his style, little I know about him and he’ll obviously be under pressure if it takes time and they end up 6th or worse without a trophy. A comprehensive 3-2 win against a team of eskimos is better than Ten Hag managed in his first home game.
It's gonna take a good while before he gets the squad he wants there. He's in a similar position as arteta when he took the arsenal job, loads of bang average players on massive wages to get rid of first before you start seeing any kind of consistency in regards to performances
He started last night with Malacia and Antony as wing backs, they definitely weren't familiar with it and Malacia got skinned for the second goal as he was so far out of position. Antony did pretty well really, but is still too left footed to play om the right for me. When Shaw, or his replacement, is fit, and Yoro as well, Shaw can go LWB and Mazaroui or Dalot RWB. The rest would work. Mount had a good game in what is clearly his correct position. ten Hag never played him there, it was so obvious and he never saw it. Fernandes struggled a bit getting his head round where he played, and Mainoo would sit nicely alongside Ugarte longer term. It was good though. Garnacho blew come clear chances, should have been more. But the bloke in charge clearly knows his ****, and he adapted to all the above well. Long way back, he looks the real deal.
Depends how you measure success - way more difficult to win the Premier League than a cup (indeed any league) ... So my contention stands - by being one of only 4 teams to have won the Premier League in the last decade, we are in the top 4 for 'success' ... You wouldn't say Sevilla were more successful than Barcelona because they've won the Europa a few times ...
**** me ... don't you have a few individually 'decorated' whelk shells to sell on your stall or something?
That still isn't what you said! You said only three teams had won more, which isn't true as United have won twice as much as Leicester in that time. 2 FA Cup's, 1 league cup, 1 Europa league = 4. 1 league and 1 FA cup = 2. It is literally (correctly used FYI) winning more.
Ya got me ... I'll rephrase Only 3 British teams have been more successful than Leicester City in the last decade: Manchester City Chelsea Liverpool * Amongst those that have been less successful during that decade are; in no particular order: Spurs Arsenal Manchester United Hopefully that makes us all happy now
