Blimey they are like buses. No games for ages and then they all come along together. This one is away with the Canaries. Not sure what to make of this one except to say we are definately due something. I do feel for the away fans this time. Norfolk is a long ole poke on a Tuesday night and even longer if the players don't turn up. We can win this one and if I say it often enough one day it is bound to be true.

Could be starting a match without Morgan Whittaker in the line up.....he came off against Watford with a toe issue....it seems as if he had been playing with it for a few games.

Maybe that isn't a bad thing....because he has not been producing the goods for awhile......and bringing him on later might be a good idea against a tiring defence.

Assuming of course that he is fit enough to be a substitute anyway.

    Nearly 700 miles round trip.
Absolutely ridiculous, especially for a midweek game.
Going to be a difficult game, could go either way.

    First goal was clearly offside.

    Well, first the extenuating circumstances.

The first goal is offside. They have player offside between the keeper and the play. Yes, an Argyle defender may have got a toe on the ball but he’s already offside and in the way as the ball goes past him into the net. Interfering with play without a doubt

The fifth came when Pleggy slipped over and let the striker in. S*^t happens.

We were without Gibson, presumably with a recurrence of whatever injury he’s had recently. That didn’t help stop their giant CB Duffy scoring and nearly getting another.

However, this was a terrible performance. We got what we deserved. Absolutely terrible. Not a clue.

Why do we not settle into a shape and stick to it? On Friday, we had two up front, tonight we’ve gone back to one with a resulting change in midfield. This isn’t the Champions League, chopping and changing every week. We need to stick to a system which the players understand.

We looked like 10 outfield strangers tonight. The question as to who’s at fault for that has to be asked.

What’s the point if chucking youngsters like Issaka and Roberts into a shambles like that? It’s unfair to them and could ruin their careers to be associated with it.

Make no mistake, the worst Plymouth Argyle performance for years.

The sound of the Hounds being released on Rooney are a crescendo. How long?

I need to state again the analysis I read some weeks ago. Clearly I’m not a master tactician and perhaps the guy the wrote it wasn’t either but it did make me think.

Under Schumacher, even in League 1, we didn’t have the biggest or highest rated squad for reasons we understand and accept.

Back then, we were a possession based team: lots of passes per attack , moving up the field slowly but together. Eventually, we’d either get a chance to set Ryan Hardie off as a lone wolf or get into a position where the entire team more or less was in the opponent’s half but still in shape.

What we’re trying to do now is quicker, faster attacks with fewer and in some cases longer passes. It seems to me that’s leaving us all out of shape when the ball comes back at us. Not that we’re entirely useless, we aren’t, but there are some very good teams and players in this division and we can’t take them on at their game.

We’ve really shown that tonight. Getting caught on the turnover time and time again.

Rooney's contract is long enough to not to be able to replace him....stuck between a rock and a hard place.....come back Coleen we need you.

34 goals against in 17 matches....the worst in the whole of the EFL divisions.....wo could be heading for 90/100 goals this season.

Clearly Rooney has no idea how to play away from home....just eleven players running around with no plans on what they're doing.

We couldn't afford to replace Rooney because his contract is to long for us to pay up.

I don’t think public statements like this are the way to go either. He has a say in signing players, he coaches the squad, he picks the team and he’s not there in the dugout for every game just to watch.

    Under-18 team wouldn't have conceded six - Rooney https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/articles/cvgkxvx4z2go

He does have a point about injuries of course but we’ve turned in several very ugly results even when they’re all an available.

You tend to think about the absence of Cissoko and Whittaker and Gibson but Joe Edwards is the biggest loss. Not only a staunch defender but a natural born leader on the pitch.

Norwich had gone SEVEN games without a win before the Argyle game.......four draws and three defeats.

If Argyle had won last night we would have leap frogged them by a point.......20 pts to 19pts.

The only point in Rooney's favour is the injury list....with key players unavailable.....but the worrying thing is the lack of discipline in defence....they look as if they have been given no instructions and plus the lightweight mid-field performance.....attack wise we did manage to score our third away goal....and at 2-1 down at half-time it looked as if we had been let off lightly.....but the second half was woefully worse.....and without any depth of substitutes to help we sank without trace.

With the new years transfer window just over a month away.....how can we attract the right type pf player on our budget to turn this around ?

Wayne Rooney could be accused of losing the plot.....blasting his players for their poor performance last night he suggested that the U18 players could have done better than the 1-6 result the first team achieved last night.......he could start to lose the dressing room with comments like that.....it could be a long slippery slope if he continues talking like that.....it sounds as if the problem is only the players not the way they are coached or managed.....it's not my fault Mr Hallett it's.those horrible players.

I've been saying all season that we need to start games more conservatively, especially away from home. That means the full backs or wing backs and the holding midfielders staying in their positions. Just get a feel for the ball and the opposition and go from there. Oh, and try not to concede a goal in the first 15 minutes.

Shock horror Argyle are struggling and the Dogs of War have come out to play. The sad thing is before the season kicked off the great unwashed didn't go that much on this signing or that signing and were all full of who we should be signing without us having pretty much any of the cash to do it. News Flash "FANS KNEW THEIR CLUB WOULD STURGGLE" Be honest loads said so didn't they. So, now we are struggling suddenly it is supposedly a shock even though it shouldn't be.

I'll make my position clear shall I. I support Argyle and have done so through a whole load of troubled times for over 60 years. I have seen them go up and seen them go down. I've even seen them nearly disappear altogether. No matter what league they have been in I have still supported. I've been totally disappointed and totally elated in equal measure over that time. Just because they are struggling this time makes little difference to me. I want them to be successful and I want some other club to take their place in the struggle zone. However, if they go down they go down and I will still consider Saturday afternoon at 3pm to be my football experience and will still enjoy a laugh and moan after over a pint or two. It's what I do.

I will not be joining the moan brigade or calling for anyone's head to roll. We knew what team we had and we knew what kind of manager we had. I would suggest if people thought all that was utter pants at the start then they have been going to the wrong venue all this time.
