No doubt Tommy Watsons going to have a great career and what an achievement for him right now playing in the first team at 18 years old but we really need to change things round because he's not ready yet imo. Anyone know when Cirkins back?
Could be back Friday

Have to disagree on you there, but all about opinions

Roberts was shocking imo, ran into trouble loads, picked up 1 threatening position the whole game, didn't help stretch the game with clever runs in behind and set pieces were embarrassing

Opinions mate. I thought he was better than Watson and Wilson. Least he drove inside and kept the ball. Watson was genuinely so far out his depth, needs dropping back immediately. I am surprised how poor he was and the gap is massive.

made one from Isidor in first half but aye, that’s the problem. The “chances” we created were half chances at best. Some of them just hit and hope.
That’s not quite true mind. We had three very good chances which were marginally denied. Isidor offside by a hair, Roberts a whisker wide and Mowatt with the outrageous block from Rigg - and that’s just second half. It’s disappointing to not win that game given it was against a playoff contender and one of the better teams in the league, but they played backs to the wall and barely laid a glove on us. Feels like a lot of online safc fans are dropping their arses a bit tonight.

Rtg has Rigg as the second best player on the pitch today after Mepham with 25% of the votes for motm. Amazing how differently people can see the same game.
Massively but I also think people judge it on him being our boy wonder (who has been class this season)

I love rigg, I've said several times he's the best youngster I've ever seen at the club but he's off it at the minute. I don't mind him starting games but there's got to be times when he is brought off when he's not on it

He's only 17 so he will have plenty of poor games, so nothing wrong with the odd rest

Oh 100% mate. Having a beer now. On my bates, taking to you lot, so must be!

Still ****ing annoyed though. Thought we were very easy to play against tonight.

I thought we contained them but didn't break them down well enough going forward.
Lots of fine lines and on the day performances .

Rigg made a bit of play but I was crying for the ambition to bring Connolly in at 10 second half.
I thought he remained pretty effective all night tbh. I wouldn’t have been averse to him getting subbed to give us a bit of a different look, but it was far from the last few games where he’d have warranted the hook imo.

Its crazy how we all see things differently because i thought he was class tonight. For a 17 year old to have that ability the world is literally his Oyster now

I didn't think he was that poor, can still see he's not confident in the 1st team yet but only minutes on the pitch will improve that. Thought the last 10 minutes of the 1st half he showed his ability but then 2nd half there was nothing

Will always be the issue when giving youngsters minutes, we saw it with rigg n jobe last season, sometimes worth it for the longer term success - the key of course is to make sure it doesn't massively impact short term success

Roberts had his usual game, busy but nothing to show for it. Needs taking off all set piece duties unless he hits a run of form.

Definitely an area we should be looking to improve on in January.

I think Roberts is a major issue for us. I just don't see what he offers currently, Mayenda out of position on Saturday was just as good if not better than what Roberts has produced for the last 18 months or so to be honest. He's not even committing players anymore. Styles was so comfortable it was unreal.

Either give Mayenda a run on the right or look for an upgrade in January.

Def agree with your last sentence, he will go and play champions league football in the future

It was his touch tonight, it was sloppy, he wasn't moving the ball quickly enough, struggled to find space to get on the half turn, movement in box was sluggish

But agree it's all about opinions, that's what makes football great we all see the game differently

Agree. He needs to be off the bench. The entire left side was abysmal for long periods this game.

Wingers and CM is the big area of improvements for me in Jan, I'd love a really exciting young RB as well. Similar to what we did with mundle last jan, sign him with the future in mind
