Are you really sure oppo teams missed hatfuls ? Didn’t see it myself just saw the usual cut and thrust from both teams . If they missed hatfuls then they must have useless strikers too- it’s football at this level with little quality

Missed the first 20mins at QPR when Pandur won mom then? And the chances Cardiff wasted before we scored?

And yes, there usually is a lack of quality in relegation threatened teams. Point is we're actively trying to outscore oppositions without the firepower to do so and that needs a change in defensive approach, which we won't see under Walter

Just need to watch the portsmouth highlights

How they didnt win the game
Pandur is super human

Burnley player sliced a open goal from 5 yards

Etc
We should’ve been out of sight against Portsmouth, Simmons missed a sitter, then ****ed a clearance within a minute and they’re 1-1 with a toxic crowd. I’ll admit that second half was awful. We folded, but the fans didn’t help and it was an awful afternoon. Burnley, Simmons actually also ****s a clearance which is where that sitter came from.

But that can happen with any manager playing any style of football? Regardless of weather he’s the man or isn’t, the lack of ability to kill a team off when we’re dominant and the schoolboy errors aren’t because of his system

Setting up to outscore the opposition which leaves ourselves open at the back as a consequence when we don't have the goalscorers to do so is entirely down to Walter.

Being so inflexible as to not adapt to the strengths of the players we actually do have is also entirely down to Walter.

So is doing the same thing week in week out and getting the same outcome

I think the system is massively flawed
And it wont have consistent success

I wouldnt be surprised if we smash sheff wed, just like i wouldnt be surprised if we have another narrow loss

Every football team in the world sets up to outscore the opposition. Thats literally how football works.

Fergusson's Aberdeen beat Bayern Munich, Tottenham and Real Madrid to win the European Cup Winners Cup, which is far tougher than winning anything in the Championship.
Fair point. Mine was more based around the patience shown to back him despite terrible results. Didnt do them much good since I suppose!

We've not set up to 'try and win games 4-3' since the Norwich bumming. We've solidified at the back since then and that was recognised at the time. Pandur really hasn't had his goal peppered with shots to anywhere near the same degree since. The problem is these total brain fart moments still costing us goals in most games. Add that to the zonal marking at set pieces (which is TW's fault) and we're shipping too many.

In terms of not scoring enough, it's down to the players, not the system. I've not seen anyone suggest Tim Walter is some sort of football genius, but we're creating enough clear cut chances to be higher than we are in the table - and with some good players missing as well. We've lost a lot of quality over the summer and into this season through bans and injuries etc, and if anything this just shows the inadequacies of what we have left.

Walter isn't blameless in this situation, but he's definitely not the be all and end all of our problems currently. Unfortunately he'll probably find his time here come to an end before things start to click.

We still set up with no defensive cover and a void where the midfield should be.

Ok fellas tell us what you want him to change - make a list of player swaps and system

Bearing in mind we've just played I'd use it as an opportunity to make some changes to be fair.

I'd start Giles. I know, I know. But he's left footed.

I'd give Drameh a start at RB and Coyle a rest with the view of subbing him on if Drameh is gassing or if we're ahead. Jones and Hughes keep their places.

Simons starts with a view to sitting deeper and helping the defence providing Alzate still isn't ready. Palmer starts with a view to purely trying to thread someone in. He's the Tufan replacement in my head. Depending on fitness I'd have either Puerta or Slater in there as the third option - Mehlem if available. Longman starts on the left, Kamara starts on the right. Bedia to get a start and Burstow ready to come on as a striker, not a winger, if the game opens up and suits someone who can run in behind. I'd want to see Burstow, or any sub changes a lot sooner than we've been seeing them if needed as well.

What a strange post.
Why ? If everyone is telling us what we aren’t doing why not tell us what we should do that’s not happening - lots of would be managers on here myself included , c’mon give it a go. We should try scoring but as I said personnel , tactics etc
