If everyone who ever embellished a CV were sacked, there’d be no one left in a job. This is desperate stuff from the anti Labour mob.

Duggie’s comparison to the private sector is also dumb because it’s not an open market with loads of similarly qualified candidates. She’s probably the most experienced new Chancellor for some time in terms of relevant previous experience. We’ve just had Jeremy ****ing Hunt ffs.

    ****ing marmalade ****.

    On politicians' qualificaions ...

The Tories once appointed Colin Moynahan as Minister for Sport ...

    ...his qualification ?

He had sat in the back of a University rowing boat with a megaphone shouting "stroke" (me) whilst 8 big guys pulled the oars ...

He publicly blamed football hooligans for Hillsborough in the immediate aftermath ...

Talking of unqualified Tories with a bent for marine interests

Remember the multi million ££££ contract they gave to their mate and donor to run ferries after Brexit

Except he didn't have any ferries <laugh>

Marmalade is Scottish iirc. But it's not Scotch. You can see how easy it is to get confused about it all.

Except the Greeks were making marmalade well over 1,000 years before anyone in Scotland had heard of oranges, and the word itself is Portuguese.

When he became Prime Minister I was in despair, i thought he was the worst of a bad bunch of candidates, however he did win a General Election and both his successors were a disaster so in that respect he proved his credentials

He did not however get to be Prime Minister by lying about his Education, or working as a finance expert at the Bank of England or running a bank, nor did he get the sack for gross misuse of sick leave and work credit card, she did, that is the point

The article I posted earlier, and I said IF it was true she had a lot to answer for because whenever she was interviewed running up to the Election she tried make out she was so qualified and experienced that she should have been in charge of the Bank England

We all know that Ministers are not necessary fully qualified for EVERY post they occupy because they have a team and a Civil Service Department to do all the groundwork and calculation necessary to make the final decisions

Jame Callahan I believe has been the only MP to have served as Foreign Secretary, Chancellor and Prime Minister and I think his main qualifications and were he served in the Navy during the war and worked his way through all the levels of Parliament to get there and well done to him, he was just in the wrong post at the wrong time 1978 - 1979 when all hell broke loose

He was sacked at least twice for lying <laugh>

Best one being sacked by the then editor of the Telegraph Max Hastings " for making up quotes "

I know I have already previously spoken on this, but just to add some more detail...

If you lied on your CV for the NHS or Social Care, dependent on the type of lie, it could omit you from the application. So for example those areas do enhanced security checks, so anything not declared they could close your application straight away without any right to appeal, regardless of wjhat it was, just by not declaring it, you are out because you are working with vulnerable people. Also if those lies came to light at a later date, you could be subject to dismissal. I don't think the Financial sector have the same strict criteria, with them it would be a basic check (not enhanced), so as long has you have no recent history, you would be fine non customer facing. However, there are rules that govern working in certain financial sectors that prevent you moving from one role to another if it is seen as a conflict of interest or if a family member works in the same department, but I can't remember which departments those were. Another reason for dismissal is if you have misused the banking systems, even for something simple as looking at someones account that you had no valid reason to look at. Also you can be dismissed on mistakes, a bit like three strikes and you are out.

    Do me a favour…

This place is built on misinformation, conspiracies and our facts come from YouTube and Twitter. If you’re wanting this to become a place for debating facts with research to show our findings then brb might as well pull the server now.
