I’m not saying it’s right or wrong. I’m just outlining how it works

Why does it need outlining how it works, what makes you the knowledge on how it all works

I'm more wondering if you've changed your tune and if the companies they support are no longer a bunch of kunts?...

Indeed. Sky owned by Comcast who also own NBC, MSNBC and Disney. Comcast owned by Blackrock who basically own everything.

1/4 of the world's entire assets, estimated at $10trillion flow through Blackrock's coffers.

But let's go after the little guy who wants to watch a bit of footie

****s.

Well that’s a decent vault tbf <laugh>

But yeah looking into it, they don’t actually own those companies.

It’s clearly political with Piskie.

Tory government = Blackrock bad.

Labour government = Blackrock good.

Blackrock being close to any government sets alarm bells ringing, and so it should. But we live in a capitalist society; the difference between Tories and Labour is that the Tories are the capitalists and represent their interests, while Labour believe they can regulate capitalism and work with capitalists to the benefit of working people. Whether that can ever really be achieved is always open to question. But the alternative - public ownership of the means of production, distribution and exchange - has been off the menu for decades. The most Labour offers in that regard, is public ownership of public services and utilities.

Well governments have always done the bidding of the rich, after all it was they who wrote the rules and started the governments to protect their interests. Us lessers have only had a say in how it works for 100 years or so, and lets be honest, if we could actually change anything with our votes, we wouldn't have been allowed to vote.

Labour came into power on the back of saying that they wanted to see massive investment into the UK to get the economy growing again. To finance those big infrastructure projects, you either do it through taxation, and nobody wants to pay more tax. Or you get the private sector to do it.

As long as the investment goes into public services and benefits wider society, then it’s a decent investment, even if the shareholders of the companies Blackrock invest in want a return.

I guess the alternative is you do nothing and just let public services rot, which seemed to be the Tories approach for the last decade

So what happened to taxing the rich? <laugh>

They are all up in arms as their tax avoidance loopholes are closing.

What all the bankers and corporations that Piskie use to tell us about.

I'm not against Labour, I voted for them, but when I see people supporting Blackrock, I wonder what changed them from being a bunch of ****s suddenly.

The majority of farming families are asset rich, not cash rich.

The Labour lot were right behind the train drivers who are already on a good wage. Then the teachers were supported.

The farmers should strike for a couple weeks and withhold their produce. See how long it takes for the Labour lot to change their attitudes towards them.

We need the CEOs, Bankers, Hedge fund managers towed into line as well - The latter has been managed by none other than Blackrock since 1996.

BlackRock's highest paid executives include: Robert Lawrence Goldstein $7,299,325 and Gary Stephen Shedlin $6,017,782. Comparably has 2 executive salary records from BlackRock employees including job titles like VP of Finance and VP of Marketing.
