We're not going to get 80,000 on a cold Tuesday night in January playing Bournemouth. We'd struggle to get 65k for that.

We'd get 80k for Liverpool, Man Utd, Man City, Chelsea, Spurs, Villa and Sunderland only.

The fact is that if the club goes 70k to 80k that's based on analysis from numbers they're seeing already in queues not just a shot in the dark.

I'm usually you in this scenario....the guy pissing all over the club, so I'd actually like to thank you for the opportunity to not be that guy for once.

I'd say aim for 75-80k initially with room for expansion later to 90k if required. As someone said earlier - 52k currently with 25k who can't buy a ticket most weeks is the 75k - 80k mark already and plus corporate sales could easily fill 80k currently.

This idea Newcastle should piss fart around for an extra 10 to 15k seats is for the Neanderthals.... the spirit of the club is the fans limbic systems not the ground.

Get the biggest **** off monster of a stadium built that stinks of the future and drink the tears of the rest of the football community.

The clubs feasibility study has identified the "sweet spot" at 65k. Even they recognise that anything above that will not consistently be filled.

And you know this how?

It's common knowledge within the council. It comes out in January/ February.

Three options.

1. Redevelop St James by extending Gallowgate to 65k and modernising other stands. Expensive.

2. Redevelop St James by turning the pitch 180 degrees and out across Barrack Road. That would require the club to purchase land from Newcastle University (who have a £35 million deficit currently.)

3. New stadium on Leazes Park. Same vicinity as current ground. Again, new stadium circa 65k. New stafium geared towards corporate and other major sporting events including concerts and boxing.

You’re talking utter ****e. Utter utter ****ing ****e. I’m pretty sure the corporate manager would know this info before some jobsworth in The council. For your information. He doesn’t.

There's no sense in building a new stadium with 65k tbh... if that was the case 13k seats is hardly a dramatic enough increase on what increasing the capacity at St James would involve. Therefore the capacity must be at least 70 k

Sheik is just attached to some concrete and scaffolding.. he's entitled to his view.

That Tyneside life guy will be food and drink if they build a new stadium somewhere he's ruled out..
