Been waiting for a couple of months for wheelchair services to replace my front castors , rear solid tyres and foot rest . Finally parts received and man comes round today takes chair off to his van .
He was back in 10 minutes and i went that was quick to which he replied you're ****ed mate i've chopped your rear tyre off but when i went to put the new one on i found they had sent the wrong size .plus they've sent the wrong size castors .
Told him not to go and opened up the garage and found old wheels , inner tubes and tyres .and said put these on . His reply we don't really do inflatable ones was treated with contempt it deserved and i now have a functioning chair of sorts while i wait another couple of months for the correct parts .
God i hate wheelchair services and the contract they signed with Sunrise medical .

For something so important the service should be first class, disgraceful.
years ago it was much better but you know musn't keep it in house . Wouldn't be so bad if they actually made companies like Sunrise meet their SLA's which although i don't know them i'm ****ing certain they don't . They rarely supply the correct part(s) first time and it takes far longer than it should .
When it does turn up they’ll only have square wheels too. Making the round ones was found by a dickhead like me to be 3% less efficient. You can have square wheels delivered in 6-12 weeks or we can do triangle as you asked nicely in 4-8 weeks. Thank you for your understanding.
Bloody hell mate, this aint an acceptable service for something that your needs rely on. Don't know if you have done, but I'd be raising these concerns with my local mp and make sure they put some sort of response in writing how they are going to improve things for you.... maybe a new chair.
it's cause i rely on it i have acquired a bunch of spare parts as say you need a new brake they often swop out both and i scrounge the good one to keep .The old lot who used to come out often turned up with no idea what they were there for which led to some guy turning up asking what he was there for and i replied replacement tyre and went back to his van and gave me 2 wheels complete with tyres and left . It was only after he left i thought what about the poor **** they were ordered for.
As for the MP i would if i thought it would have any effect but pressure groups have had no effect and the contract with Sunrise gives the NHS very cheap access to a range of chairs and that will be the main factor
It was a good show and that's a great clip but I clicked on X and read some of the comments which are quite incredible to read. "Before everyone was offended" "we used to be a nation" wtf is wrong with these people? It's like they have to bring this political nonsense into everything, it's just funny there were lots of funny things then and there are now. I'm honestly shocked at the comments.
Prime Minister Farage will bring this back and you’ll be locked up for this woke nonsense.
