HS2 – Phase 1 original estimate £44.6bn; current cost estimate £66.6bn, still not complete. Elizabeth Line – original estimate £14.8bn; actual cost £18.9bn, four years late. Only a total mug or an ideological dimwit would put their pension fund money onto any public sector project, run by cretins from the Establishment to line the pockets of their mates at the expense of the plebs. Why are most private sector pension funds invested in hardly anything in this country?
