Please dont speak on my behalf, you allow the match times and dates, to be changed to suit yourselves,,,, money talks,,,, **** the fans you claim to care for, I personally would like saterday football as it was traditionally, three o clock kick off for all. no strategies, pretty much as fair as it could be,,,,,,,,,,,,enter Brucie http://www.sunderland.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=232904 stop ****ing with the english game, will end up too watered down, anyone for tennis?
Ive said it before and will say it again, a winter break sounds good, but you will find teams jetting all over the world to take part in meaningless games so they can raise more revenue. So how will the players benefit from that winter break. Simple answer is they wont, and in all probability will pick up injuries which could of been avoided.
There are arguments for both sides. A winter break would be good if that's what it was, a total break as Siam suggests, the greedy clubs will want revenue and force players to travel all over the place in order to bring in revenue. Then there's the other side. Look at our rediculous fixture list over the xmas period resulting in a rather large casulaty list.
Lots of games played over the Christmas period (which I enjoy) if you have a winter break when you going to play them games, June ?. Pre season training starts July , what happens when the World Cup comes around.
England dont play world cups,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,History since 1966. but better from you biggobdownunder, maybe just maybe, you are getting the hang of this.....I hope so, then you can have your real title back,,,,,,,,,,,from all. nice one anyway.
There's no need for a winter break, just the use of some common sense. Play one game on Boxing day and one on New Years day, instead of the 4 or 5 games in two weeks as played at present.
