Unfortunately, this was always the likely outturn given that there are already 3 teams selected from the Ospreys’ Region and there were none from the Blues’ Region. That said, there are (in my opinion) a number questions to be asked about the original vetting/decision making process, eg 1) had Cardiff been contacted by (representatives of) the WRU before the first decision had been taken? 2) if so, is that why 1 of the 10 Clubs had to be excluded? There are others of course ….

The 6:2 split on the bench was a farce given the nature of the Fijian back line. We lose 1 player and our entire back line then goes to pot. Costello is nowhere near International Class yet he was one of the two backs on the bench

Times certainly have changed, especially in football. I am unable to watch any games these days with all the partying that goes when when merely a throw in is involved.
