I saw some 'ska and soul' knitwear in Dees of Trongate last Saturday...Weller,Terry Hall,The Who etc. Yours?
Funny you should mention him now, I've just come off the phone with him, you must be psychic. It is mine, I'd decided to suspend Ska & Soul for this season and just concentrate on Trojan, but we'd had a couple of items we'd recreated (a Terry Hall knit and a Bob Marley track top) that had done very well, so I decide to relaunch Ska & Soul as a brand that only made faithful reproductions of styles worn by stars of music, screen and sport. I initially trialed just six styles (the one's you've mentioned, along with a George Best and Noel Gallagher) and they've been very good, so there's another eight styles added for next summer. The Gallagher Don't Look Back In Anger zip cardigan has been by far the best, it's currently my biggest selling item.
He's been on the go for as long as I can remember and has always sold good fashionable gear.It was always a standing joke that if you went in for a t-shirt,you came out with a full rig out, some of his salesmen were pushy back in the day. I was looking in the window last weekend at desert boots and I was with one of my daughters. She said 'I'll get you a pair for x.mas Dad',I said 'no,I don't have 2 hrs to spare and you'll end up rigging me out from top to toe' I bought a pair of Ikon Loafers from them a couple of years ago, leather soles, nice shoes but absolutely deadly if it's rainy or icy.I've been up in the air more times than I'd care to mention.
