Lol, it's just not necessary, if you got a problem with an individual, pull him in and tell him, don't try and intimidate him in front of his mates. As you allude it's not even intimidating, just rude. Shout in the dressing room by all means.
I'd be tempted to say ... "You could at least stand up if you're going to shout..." Sure he'd see the funny side ...
Coventry sack Marc Robbins... Actually think he's done a cracking job there - no money to spend, unearthing nuggets of gold and forced to sell the best players every close season ... One of them Gyòkeres just scored a hat-trick against Citeh in the Champions League!!! Would take him over Coopernicus in a heartbeat...
Not sure yet. If you finish outside the Top 8 you then have a 2 leg knockout against someone so potentially big teams could go out. 2 less games if you finish in the top 8 so that's a big deal. I think that's the rule it's a bit confusing.
Yup, I've actually lost interest in it, I gave it a chance, but four games in and I can't see the point. I know alot of the guys here have the sticks to watching the football, but I use to pay to watch Champions League, I always prefered the European Cup, but the CL format was okish, then they dish us up this, I wouldn't pay for it now, and if I'm not paying for it, how many other people who don't have sticks stop paying BT for this shhite, I can only see this format affecting their tv revenue, well until the latter stages when everyone takes an interest again. It's a bit like watchiing England play a load of boring friendlies and no body taking any notice until the EURO's or the WC Finals come round. Maybe the new generation of supporters will take to it, but it's not for me and I wouldn't even want a cheap stick for it, because it's totally pointless. Liverpool have won all four games, it should mean something, but it don;t because they've devalued the competition.
It does mean something though we need 4 points from the next 4 games and if we manage that then we've got 2 less games and have qualified. I get you though the whole thing seems a bit less interesting with this massive league.
Yeah I assume the top 8 go through, those below 8th go to knockout, and those right at the bottom end go home. It reminds me a bit of how they do the Scottish Premier League, where they eventually at some point in the season split it in half, lot of ppl might not know that but they do.
Yup, but it's probably 8 games you could have done without and if you get 4 points in the next two games, the last two games are of no value.
Yeah I agree it's ****. End of the day it'll only be interesting once I've you get to the 1/4 Finals.
Yeah I use to go down the pub when it got to the semi's to watch it. I remember Spurs I think it was and Liverpool maybe, turning around some big deficits in the second legs - I still remember now all the Spurs fans in there lol, it was mental. I'm sure I met a Liverpool fan in there as well, who was actually from Liverpool but he was working away at the time, so came to the boozer to see it.
The top eight sides in the league will qualify automatically for the round of 16, while the teams finishing in 9th to 24th place will compete in a two-legged knock-out phase play-off to secure their path to the last 16 of the competition. Teams that finish 25th or lower will be eliminated, with no access to the UEFA Europa League. In the knockout phase, the teams that finish between 9th and 16th will be seeded in the knockout phase play-off draw, meaning they will face a team placed 17th to 24th – with, in principle, the return leg at home. The eight clubs which prevail in the knockout phase play-offs will then progress to the round of 16, where they will each face one of the top-eight finishers, who will be seeded in the round of 16. Yay....
