Thursday 7th November 5.45pm
Europa League Group Stage
Rams Park, Istanbul

Romero joins van de Ven and Odobert on the treatment table and Richarlison is probably out, too.
Spence isn't in the squad and might not be ready to play anyway.
Neither side has any suspensions.

Lineups for each side's last league game:

Spurs: Vicario; Porro, Romero, Dragusin, Udogie; Kulusevski, Bentancur, Sarr; Johnson, Solanke, Son.
Subs: Forster, Gray, Davies, Bissouma, Bergvall, Maddison, Werner, Moore, Richarlison.
League form: WWLWLW.

Galatasaray: Muslera; Ayhan, Sanchez, Bardakci, Yilmaz; Torreira, Sara; Sallai, Akgun; Icardi, Osimhen.
Subs: Guvenc, Jelert, Nelsson, Baltaci, Akman, Demirbay, Kutlu, Ziyech, Mertens, Batshuayi.
League form: WWDWWW.

Ref: Lawrence Visser (BEL). VAR: Bram Van Driessche (BEL).

TV: TNT Sports.

How would you like to line up for this one and how do you think we actually will line up?

Tough game (their supporters make their place a cauldron,
they also have Icardi. some Chelsky rejects, plus the possibility
of Ser Davos going full < standard> ) . :(

Injuries I guess mean Davies may have to start.
Son (if fit) will be needed to start if a win is desired.
Werner to start purely because he is an "old hand"
rather than the Citeh game marking the bottom of his trough.

Atmosphere + physicality means starts for Sarr + Bissouma
(and the latter has got to pull his finger out) .

Everyone one else : no particularly comforting suggestions,

I imagine we’ll see a lot of changes. With the injury situation and the number of games recently we do need to be careful. Our strong start to the group phase means there’s really very little jeopardy attached to what looked like one of our toughest EL games, so we can afford to rotate as heavily as we need to. Wouldn’t be surprised to see something like

Forster
Porro Dorrington (?) Davies Gray
Bergvall Bissouma Maddison
Moore Lankshear Werner (if fit)

Davies Mr reliable like Dawson before him, not glamorous but rarely lets us down.
Every coach/manager since he joined us has praised Ben, highlighting a great attitude and a consistent versatile performer. An intelligent man and a dedicated professional. Maybe not a automatic first choice for our current style of play, but there are few players around that I would prefer to have as a back-up. <applause>

I've got a bad feeling that Dorrington's injured again, as he wasn't in the U21 squad at the weekend and isn't tonight either

Stay safe any spurs fans going out there
Back in 2001/2 I lived about mins away from the ground for about a year and a half and went to a few matches. It was the most intimidating of places - even standing with friends in the home areas - and there was always serious trouble at any derby game. Like going back to the early '70's!! <yikes>

I think he’s been/ being left out of U21 squads after the van de Ven uncertainty (which we now know is a month out) and now with Romero too.

I’d imagine he’s travelling with the first team to Turkey.

Edit: and right on cue just checked Twitter and he has. Callum Olusesi is also seen getting on the plane, huge talent but seemingly been under the radar a bit due to Moore’s rise. Would definitely tell fans to keep an eye on his development. Luca Williams Barnett has also gone, came out the blocks with the 18s this season scoring for fun.

One player who definitely won’t be playing is Richarlison as he’s out for another month.

When you factor in the cost, his ability/ impact and his injury record, he’s now comfortably the worst signing in our history (if he wasn’t already!).

Majority of the fanbase knew he’d flop too, I just don’t think we quite anticipated how bad it’d be.

N’dombelly still the worst signing ever imo

Nah...not a patch on Ndombele and Sessengon runs him pretty close

Romero may be back for the weekend. Werner and Moore didn't travel, the latter as he has a virus.

Injuries are hitting at the same time as they did last season. Worrying.

I'd say it's extremely unlikely Son starts 3 games on the trot, so I suppose it depends on which of the two he is rested on the bench for.

I'm worried about Solanke getting run into the ground, especially if he then has to join the England camp for even more work.

Romero should have his passport confiscated and told categorically that he isn't joining Argentina unless he shows himself to be fit for the Ipswich game. I'd go:

Gigi
Gray Radu Davies Udogie
Bergvall Bissouma Sarr
Johnson Son Maddison

Against Galatasary, and then for Ipswich:

Gigi
Porro Romero Radu Davies
Kulusevski Bentancur Sarr
Werner Solanke Moore

Still the one player in our squad who can defend the near post on corners, which is important given the Boltonfication of the Premier League

Agreed but I think the big difference was that many if not most of us were quite excited when we signed Dombelly. We'd been chasing him for two years and there was a hope he'd flourish into one of the best CMs in the world (he certainly has the ability and raw talent). Remember how excited we were when he scored on his debut? Little did we know it would be downhill from there, but the signing itself was met with a lot of anticipation.

Richarlison on the other hand...we knew exactly what we were getting. He hasn't developed or improved one iota as a player in years at PL level. Bang average at every aspect of the game who has probably gone further than he should have because he's Brazilian. If he was Richie from Morecambe, he'd be playing in the Isthmian League. His signing was met with widespread disbelief by almost every Spurs fan alive, because we knew exactly what we were getting. It had stupid Levy idiot decision written all over it.

The only big difference since is that he has also become one of the most injury prone players in the world since signing.

I think the start we’ve had means there’s not really much pressure on tonight’s game.

would like to see Solanke rested (not sure if lankshear has gone?). With the injuries and the massive game on Sunday based on where it could put us in the league looking at the other games this weekend means this can be a bit of a free hit and just get out of there with not much more damage done to the squad.
