I'm with the let's see where we are at the end of November club. The team is improving although still living dangerously at the back and over playing it on the wings. When will we see a killer forward pass, more shots on target? This is a decent team on paper and with not many stand out teams this season there's still time to push for a top 6 spot. The dream is achievable, stick with it.

I admire your faith that the playoffs are still in sight, but our start has been so poor that if we fail to take any points from the next three games we would need a points per game return higher than we’ve ever achieved in the Championship to hit the benchmark for sixth. But that won't happen, will it? If it does a new manager will be lined up for sure.

2015/16 we had 18 points and were 5th

Thus the only conclusion to make is

We are going up

We'll finish on 70+ points. I'm expecting us to struggle against top 8 teams (but improve as season progresses) and average only around 1pt/game = approx 14 points. Against the rest of the division our strength and depth of squad, plus our style of play will get us around 1.8pts/game = approx 58 points. So far we've probably averaged 0pts/game against top 8, and averaged 2pts/game against the rest, but this will become more clear as the season develops and we can see who is finishing where.
