Bloke next to me on the train was streaming it and says it was harsh but he’s a Liverpool fan with a southern accent and we know those are people who can’t be trusted.
What really happened: BBC Evanilson had a lot to do, a long way from goal but there wasn't any cover to save William Saliba. The defender panics and tries to react but he could only bring down the forward. BBC: There wasn't any cover really but you think with William Saliba's pace he would have come back. However the arms come out and he drags down Evanilson. BBC: What a terrible decision by Saliba. Going a goal down is better than a man down. Arsenal are going to miss a key player for their next important matches. Red all day
I’m assuming it doesn’t come into the ref’s thinking whether Saliba does the 100m in 11 seconds or 15 so being quick shouldn’t matter if he’s brought the bloke down when in on goal.
Well I think we can all agree that it was a yellow and VAR has ****ed us over again, so let’s move on yeah ?
You know they’ll nick a win anyway through a deflected header from a set piece and it’ll be hailed as a masterclass in team spirit from the first ever team to win with ten men so better we all accept that now and enjoy our evenings. I’m having short rib.
It probably was a red, and that's what Theo has said in the studio, seeing it twenty times, probably....not good enough for me, and I hope Arsenal lose lol.
Well, seen it now, dunno why there's a debate tbh, clear red. What a ****ing horrendous ball back to set it off though, wtf was he thinking?
Well I hope you lose your false teeth down the ****ter, but yeah VAR has to be clear and obvious. And it wasn't.
