Finally we return from the International break and our first game back is away to Stoke City for a 3pm Kick off. Let's hope our first game back to league football is better than after the last break. The Canaries have won three of their last four, drawing the other fixture 1-1 with Leeds United. That run of form sees them sitting seventh after nine games.

Squad update

Gunn - OUT - likely for the entire game week
Nunez - DOUBT - Last minute decision to be made but it looks better than originally thought. Played through the last game with the injury
Cordoba - should be fit, knee issue will need to be managed this week with 3 games to play
Chrisene - Due to return after concussion kept him out before the international break
Sorensen - Has been in training over the international break so should make the squad
Fassnacht - a week or so away from returning
Barnes - May be back on the grass in the next week or 2
Gibbs - out until Christmas
Hernandez - out until Christmas
Springett - out until Christmas

The Opposition
Stoke come into this game 17th in the Championship table, with three wins from nine games. They've already seen a change of head coach this season with Steven Schumacher replaced by former Norwich first-team coach Narcís Pèlach. After losing his first two games, Pèlach and Stoke bounced back with a 6-1 win against Portsmouth before taking a point from Swansea.

The Manager
Narcís Pèlach
Stoke City head coach Narcís Pèlach started the campaign as part of the Norwich City backroom team where he had been since the beginning of the previous season. Prior to that, he worked with Huddersfield Town, where he had acted as interim head coach twice, and Girona. He was named as Stoke boss in mid-September, picking up his first win in emphatic fashion against Portsmouth.

Positive vibes!!!

ON THE BALL CITY!!!

3 points today will put us just a single point behind Leeds and Sheffield Utd, the favourites for automatic promotion. As transitional seasons go, this seems to be shaping up to be one of the better ones -- for all our supposed "weaknesses" ;)

A bit bold from Pèlach - "Borja is a very good football player," Pelach reasoned. "I know him very well, of course - Spanish and Spanish. I was responsible for his performances in Norwich because I was the coach in charge of him. There is no coach who knows more about Borja Sainz than me! I wanted him in Huddersfield as well, so we tried to make a deal but we couldn't do it in the end and we made it in Norwich.

JHT has often said he won't risk players incurring longer term injuries by putting them back in too early, so a lot of confidence being shown in our medical staff with that selection.

Not getting a stream yet,
Fawanews not showing game yet.
Anyone got anything that works

If not mistaken, Sainz has been even better since he left.
