Good Luck <ok>

In an attempt to get something at a decent price, Camelot seems to be producing some decent fillies so an ew on Gentle Touch at 11/1 could be the way to go

Arabian Summer is another interesting newcomer although 9/2 not a brilliant price

Both in the Kempton novices

Opening race at Newmarket looks ripe for a newcomer with Verse of Love 2/1 looking the obvious choice

Newmarket 2.25. Tricky affair. Some promising well bred types. The fav Flight looks worth taking on with either Magical Trail, First Instinct or Cathedral. Can't decide which one though

Newmarket 3.35 Desert Flower but I would wait for an opportunity at odds against

Assuming the FOB horse in the Persian War is 100% fit and there for the pot, he wins. Form of Bowens seems stronger but I would think RR has strengthened up a fair bit over the summer. Other might confirm :)

17:00 Chepstow - Onemorefortheroad e/w

A Class-3 Handicap Hurdle for 8YO's plus, over a distance of 2m on soft ground. One with a squeak is the above gelding by Yougunnabelucky (Damsire: Grape Tree Road). A consistent type who should run a decent race. Wears cheek-pieces as usual. Jack Quinlan rides for the Neil King yard.

8/1 (Wm.Hill/Unibet) best price early-doors, on the ATR site.

Just as well. Cathedral ended up 3/1 fav and did beat Flight by 3¼l, but beaten ½l by AOB's 20/1 second string, having its 6th race with just the one win beforehand. What can I say?

I wonder whether the stewards looked into the ride Cobden gave to Farland in the opener at Chepstow? I know it was his hurdles debut and they wanted him to learn but he was a short-priced fav and Cobden never touched him, never put him in a position to win the race. Not really riding to obtain the best position possible and he was only 7 lengths off the winner.

On ATR it was reported that Cobden had said the horse hung right all the way round. Apparently the stewards did instigate an enquiry.
Lovely too see the absolutely delightful Rebecca Curtis in the winners enclosure early doors :emoticon-0152-heart. If Willie was watching on the tellybox I’m not sure he’d be too concerned by either the Nicholls or Skelton yards.

Flying Fortune did it well in the Persian War. Had form with one I saw and was impressed with at Ludlow early in the new year (Roaring Home). RH won well yesterday at Exeter. I shall follow both this season with interest along with Gale Mahler (Adrian Keatley) who has already accounted for both.
