Got to be Tebay on the M6 in Cumbria.
Not the cheapest but one of the best.

There is another one down near Gloucester on the M5 which is just as good / not cheap!

That's a real shocker. Went to Tebay once for Sunday Lunch as we don't live far off, over rated by a country mile but the butchers section looked good.

Use them for a wee and nothing else.
If a long journey I take sandwiches and a flask and fill the tank before leaving . No way I’ll pay their extortionate money grabbing prices.

Forton services on the M6 near Lancaster has:-

a Travelodge
M & S Food Hall
Greggs
Burger King
W H Smith
and a Ladbrokes

I said to the wife we could come here for a weekend!

Close to home but Washington Services are lifting and have to be among the worst.
