me and chris tried that on our OS forum. chris made a thread and i posted pretending i didnt know chris saying it looks like a good site to make the 1st move to get people interested and having a look but within a day they closed the thread as spam <doh>
 
would be good to get some of the old gang back with us and those who are already on here more involved as there are a fair few gasheads on this site but dont post much. i blame chris for that <grr>
 
I gave up the OS years ago, I talk about football at work, in the pub and at all the games. Just want to have a laugh on forums but the OS is the most depressing place on earth.
 
i rarly go on there now. its like a bunch of school kids looking for fights with each other. it is very doom and gloom on there. so what other sites are there to gain interest from?
 
I've been on www.brfcforum.co.uk recently. All very serious. Loads of them saying
give Buckle time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I miss 606 too....I had a few aliases....made me laugh when they all pointed the
fingers the wrong way!!!!!!!!

606 was bags of fun. This place is decent, but we dont have anywhere near the same amount of posters on either Bristol board. There was always something to post about and plenty of banter going on. This site is pretty much only banter though which is great, but needs more serious posters to balance the books :D

Get your gashead mates on here!! I did with 2, although only one posts regularly and he is drunk half the time <laugh>
 
To be honest folks I think the present state of the club has a lot to do with wether peeps post on here. I havent posted much on here lately - a) - because I have got a new full time job .. and - b) - because there is so much gloom and doom surrounding the club. I don't really want to be told every day that our club is she ite at the moment, that the football is non existant and Mr. Chuckle ain't no good at his job. However if the football was to improve and the optomism that was present at the begining of the season was to start showing itself then I would happily spend more time on here disscussing and joining in with the banter (not that I'm much good at that, but I do read it!!)
Couple that with the "invasion" of a few peeps from other clubs (hopefully all sorted now - thanks CJS), most of which was non-descript and dire at the best and I think you have a formula for "going no where". Come on the Gas lets have some "proper" footy, lets make it a "Blue" Xmas ... ffs the rest of the news aint much good around the globe, at least you/we can make a start here!!!! :smile:
 
I agree we need to get more posters on here.

I do look forward to see who's winding who up.

I think people may have been put off by CJS shafting people over attendance Polls. I am correct nearly every week just for that git to say i was a couple of hundred out. Dont know what his problem is!!!
