Match Day Thread Derby County vs QPR

I should have remembered that one as it was on my birthday and I think it was on Sky so sat watching it! Thx for sharing. The Derby fans had been given free T-shirts and they were throwing them on the pitch in disgust at the end.

Wish we could.import the skill and spirit of that QPR team.

 

Not sure why I didn’t go given I was in Birmingham at the time but watched it with my uni house and you could see even at 2-0 down we weren’t losing. Everyone piled on Rangers at half-time at a decent price. All went tits up for Magilton shortly after and he’s not done a lot in football since.

 

If any of you lot are travelling up, do you have a meeting point / pub you’d be in before the game

 

The Brunswick I’m told is pretty good. One of our group left Sussex on a 5:42 train to get there for 9:30. Lunatic. I’m on the 11:02 from St Pancras.

I’ve just been informed Brunswick is now home only but the Alexandra hotel next door is away fans.

 

Also Merlin hungry horse allows a away fans as well that’s 5 mins walk from the stadium

I’ve had 3/4 of a Guinness and my prediction has gone from 2-0 to 1-3.

 

Watching other championship games, apart from centre halves I think we're pretty lightweight, we have ball players but they're just shrugged off the ball too easy, conceding possession time and again, more than anything in this league you have to be strong, it'll win some games even with average players

 

That’s the fear today. We have better footballers. They’ve got the kid on loan from Palace who looks like a cruiserweight boxer and a team full of experienced albeit average players. If our poncey ‘tens’ don’t score first we’ll get bullied.

 

Similar 4 cans of Moretti in and telling Derby fans on the train they are playing the Championship equivalent of Barcelona today!
