Apologist? No, but I'm not foolish enough to ignore the entirety of human history, Julius Caesar bragged about ****ing boys, and the Spartans actively encouraged it. Attitudes toward it may have changed, reality hasn't, a not small minority of the human race like children. Neither am I stupid enough to believe it's one political side only (especially as it seems to be that it's the other side that get caught up in real **** scandals more often), that there are baby farms where they extract a chemical that can't naturally exist inside the body, or that hundreds of children are hidden in tunnels under Washington DC that the democrats can order through a Pizzeria. They're just the bog standard political hit job and call to war "They're doing {insert heinous crime of the time period} to the children"
