Current ongoing conflicts just highlight how antiquated and redundant the United Nations is.
The US also has a lot to answer for. The greed of and reliance on their weapons industry leaves all their foreign policy decisions at the very least questionable. Britain and France not strong enough militarily or diplomatically to say enough is enough. Thousands of women and children on all sides dying needlessly.
I’ve lost faith in humanity.

 

If Israel had no weapons the fighting wouldn’t just stop overnight. There’d just be nothing to stop these inbreds being able to wipe out Jews.

The UN sought diplomatic immunity for their employees involved in October 7th. They can get very far into the bin.

the whole middle east is an unfortunate fiasco. Britain and France created it. I’m not getting in to who lived where for thousands of years but I do firmly believe that both sides have an equal and justifiable claim to that land. I believe the Israeli and Palestinian people both have an equal right to their own country, sovereignty and self determination. That is not what’s happening!!!

the Israeli people had no right to lock these people in a pen like animals. Deny millions more the right to return. Deny them their own country. What did they expect but exactly what they got. The world has stood by and watched Israel break international law after law with impunity. What Israel has been allowed do in the West Bank is scandalous.

on the other side, the UN has watched Hezbollah grow and expand unpoliced in southern Lebanon. Egypt (The honest broker - not) has allowed Hamas build up a massive weapons arsenal in Gaza. Iran has been allowed to fund, weaponise and politicise their proxy’s.

You used the word inbred. I’d argue that there’s animals on both sides. Israel will never learn that you can’t kill fanaticism, their actions just help to grow it. Iran had never learned that Israel has a right to exist and defend itself. It’s a never ending circus of conflict.

Who would we like to see as the next Tory leader? I think Tugendhat is the best candidate, so he has no chance. Looks like it will probably come down to Jenrick or Badenoch, both of whom are horrendous. Someone has suggested that if Badenoch wins, Starmer will have to declare it as a gift.

Sadly I lost a bet that Kai Havertz wouldn’t get 10 league goals. The mods can take it up with brb (the big dog mod) if it’s really a big deal. He’s aware of the bet and it’ll change at the end of the season.

The Palestinians have had plenty of chances for a state including the day after Israel was formed when they decided to gamble on a war to take it, lost and started 76 years of crying about losing the wars they chose.

Thanks Beth. After careful consideration the shame of reneging on the bet outweighs the shame here. The shame of losing the bet was worst of all but that’s the past.
