Have to remember, these two games are the highlight of Newcastle fans season outside of the week for the horse of the year show.

I've criticised Onana a lot too but actually thought he was their best player yesterday, lol. Saved about three big chances for them, albeit two were from Werner so doesn't really count I guess.

That Ugarte looks pure mince though. And De Ligt showed why Dier was able to oust him at times last season.
De shigt was only decent in FIFA 20

I think utds real problems are the lack of players with any fight. How many times have we seen the same old heads drop when they are under the cosh, rashfraud, Bruno lets them down more than helps, onana is a bang average keeper with good feet which is great but good hands and head are more important for a GK.

Too many just happy to pick up the huge wages and give mediocre performances.

They need a klopp type Messiah to get them out of this long running rut.

Only manager I can think of that could take that job and live up to it is probably Simone at this moment.

Not much chance of that I'm afraid. Smart money is on Bournemouth -2 and their new striker to get their first goal.

a 1-1 will be the result. Raine g here so you know what that means…can’t go out without getting wet.

Lol chaos thinks I'm on a jinx mission when I actually think we're gonna get battered <laugh>

Good pressing team against a piss around at the back team who've already given up loads of goals from being pressed this season. Hardly takes a genius to work out how it's gonna go.

My one slight hope is that they've got form for getting over excited when we visit and then bottling it. Bless 'em.

Correct and this only strengthens my suspicion.

United's biggest problem is deciding on a first choice XI and sticking with it until they start to gel ...

Personally think they should bench Rashford until he has enough hunger for it(or caah in during January)... from what I've seen of them this season (and admittedly that's only highlights) Diallo and Garnacho look a lot more energetic and dangerous and they need to get plenty of service into the central striker, be that Hojlund or Zirkzee...

Bournemouth are a very good mid-table Premiership side, despite a bad start last season they finished 1 point off the top 10. They battered us a few weeks back (we fluked a 1-1) and at home are going to have a good season. Suspect it'll be a comfortable win for them but your season is going to be dictated by winning the winnable home games and picking up points on the road against the other bottom 5-6 teams. Good luck, you're going to need it. Hard to see any outcome other than the 3 promoted clubs going back down - we shall see.

Agree on Diallo and Garnacho but the latter in particular doesn't seem to track back much and leaves a lot of pressure on the RB/LB who are good but not great. In the middle I don't think Zirkzee is a finisher from what I've seen so I'd be putting in Hojland as he looks a raw talent to me.

Not meaning to create drama and I'd have got rid of him too but they really miss Greenwood, the guy was exactly the finisher they need. I realise it's almost an irrelevant point regarding them now but I feel a bit for Ten Hag over it as I think he would have solved some of their issues if he wasn't such a criminal.
