We used to do that ****. I miss it.

Arsenal nearly did City. But good teams always come out with a result.

If only we had a good manager.

    I don't think Howes a bad manager.

At first he was full of life and now every time the guy speaks you realise he's just a politician

He’s an ok manager. Hes not elite. And he’s in defence mode with the hierarchy.

    It’s a shame.

You know I'm beginning to see the bigger picture.. the guy came here thinking he was getting on a rocket ship like the rest of us , but he's now realised that the takeover isn't what people thought it was going to be..in fact it's nowhere close.

I'm not saying people didn't expect a slow burner, but I don't think Howe will thought he's still have some of these players here either after 3 entire years.

    There is literally nothing happening.

The dirty half dozen thought we would be an immediate threat. But because of the barriers they have installed we can’t touch them.

We will probably need about 5-7 years of growth to get anywhere close.

Howe isn’t the answer for the progression now.

Absolutely it's probably impossible tbh.... I don't think it'll be that long before the super league happens.

Whether city win or lose their case I can sense the outcome will be the excuse they all need to start peddling the idea and one day they'll just do it.

He and anyone who thought otherwise was completely ****ing clueless then.

The sheer volume of absolute dross that was at the club when he took over the reigns took a decade to assemble. All on long term contracts so Mike could maybe make a few quid if someone could get a tune out of them and in the main were championship level at best.

To his credit he's got a tune out of them but with the way transfer fee's and wages have gone it's virtually impossible to replace these guys with better players. The likes of Murphy, Miggy, Longstaff, Dummett, Ritchie, Lewis, Lascelles, Manquillo, Darlow, Woodman, Hayden, Gayle, Hendrick. That's more than 50% of a squad that was ****. With PSR being what it is for clubs, these guys weren't good enough for PL teams and Championship teams simply couldn't afford the wages.

It should always have been 3 in 3 out every window, but that first Jan window required major survival mode transfers. Problem being is the players we brought in are now passed their best.

I'm guessing the second it gets announced City have beaten the APT rules that were implemented we will have the handbrake removed and start to kick on.

Howe deserves a lot of credit for what he's done. I'll always look at his time here fondly.

Difference is this lot are now going into professional mode rather than boys club mode. Ego's are getting bruised. I think it's probably best for all parties if the FA come in and approach Howe for the England job now.

Problem then is who do you bring in that's available and Elite? Forget Poch because him and Mitchell don't get on.

Poch isn’t an option anymore since he took over the USMNT

    Tuchel?

Howe has done very well. But he’s always was going to be the next best thing.

This next summer is a huge problem because a lot of the so called dross is out of contract.

The problem is we don’t have the FFP leeway to replace 6-9 players.

So some of the **** will end up staying.

I suspect Howe will jump ship for England if Newcastle have a bad run. That way he'll leave without being sacked, save his reputation and the club won't look bad.

Depends on what they do Jan, without any major signings in Jan (which is always a daft month to operate in) they'd then have 2 years of large profits in the bank. Last years one will be ridiculous compared to anything the clubs ever done before. This one will be just as big if not bigger at this rate. Also be more wiggle room on the transfer amortisations with players not being renewed etc and wages in the pot too with some high earners off the books.

Bare in mind that PSR debacle had nothing to do with just last years P/L accounts.

Let Howe fail completely before sacking him.

I think this next 12 months will see a shift in a lot of things.

Commercial deals are the future and we are progressing that. The Fact is we have more or less doubled our corporate side and the PL can’t stop that.

I think Howe was and is a great manager and he was the right choice at the time.

But this next 12 months will possibly see a change/

Will anyone just have the balls to say they want him replaced ? I do just as soon as the opportunity arrives.

Enough is enough 3 years in its time to step it up

The time isn't right but In a month or two the chance might well be there.

At the end of the day do people want mediocrity forever or are we going to step things up?
