So poor by Walker. Gabriel at corners is a serious threat

 

It’s a nicely worked corner but the goalkeeper is nowhere. Imagine a Schmeichel or Lehmann getting bullied like that.

Good game so far. This is definitely better for the league than the 3-0 to City I was expecting.

 

Going to be some incredible meltdowns if Trossard costs them.

 

Saying that it’s a bit harsh. Was a stupid challenge but he probably gets away with it if he doesn’t smash the ball away.

And it's not great for them that Thomas "no means yes" Partey is also on a yellow. Need to swap him off or they could be down to 9.

 

I'm pleasantly surprised by how much i'm enjoying this match .

 

Don’t even think it’s harsh, there’s been plenty of yellows given for barges in the back like that as it is, let alone then booting the ball away.

I think the barge alone isn’t enough for a second yellow. Not a lot of force in it. Could argue the two incidents combined make a yellow. It’s just a dumb thing to do on a yellow having just committed a foul. The ‘all refs hate us’ narrative will be exceptional unless they win in which case ‘all refs hate us and we won against the odds with a team worth 50p and 37 players injured’.

 

Arteta's meltdown after this is gonna be delicious.

 

Another corner and they’ll be fine. I’d be tearing into Ederson if I was Guardiola. Throwing an isotonic sports gel at the wall probably doesn’t have the same impact as a teacup but do it anyway. I’ve backed Arsenal to win the league, so had to back them to win today. I think they’ll possibly still win, Arteta has them incredibly well organised.
