All set for another ride on the rollercoaster that this season looks set to be. Hopeful of a good home performance at fortress Carrow Road.

Johannes Hoff Thorup's side welcome Tom Cleverley's Watford team in a lunchtime kick-off on Saturday, September 21 (KO 12.30pm). After last weekend's defeat away to Swansea City, the Canaries will look to return to winning ways this weekend.

Sounds like it will be a late call as to whether Slimane is fit enough to be involved, Thorup is cautious about pushing him too early before fixtures start to pile up in coming weeks. Lungi and Fassnacht remain a couple of weeks away from joining the match day squad and Springett will be out until Christmas at least. Gordon is working towards match fitness, he won’t start but JHT would like to give him some minutes this weekend.

The Opposition
Enjoying a good start under new boss Cleverley, the Hornets currently sit in fifth place in the Championship table after five games played. They began their season with consecutive league victories; claiming wins over Millwall, Stoke City and Derby County. Watford were beaten by Sheffield United before the international break. Last weekend, Cleverley's side drew 1-1 at home to Coventry City.

The Manager
Tom Cleverley
Appointed in the summer after an initial interim spell, this is Tom Cleverley's first senior management role, having previously coached Watford's Under-18s side. As a player, Cleverley was a product of Manchester United's academy and went on to make 55 Premier League appearances for the club, before a permanent move to Everton. He joined Watford initially on loan in January. Cleverley made almost 150 appearances for the club before retiring in July 2023.

Positive vibes!!!

ON THE BALL CITY!!!

Schwartau even at 18 looks to have a bit more size at least than Forson, whether that translates to physicality we will see.

Omissions from the bench are Gibbs and Hills, anyone else?

Slimane, Sorensen, Fassnacht and Barnes all missing through injury

Fisher starting a bit of a surprise but the rest of the defence currently the best in my opinion. Forsyth and Myles on the bench interesting.

Bad miss by Josh in 2nd minute.
Good save, but should be 1 up.
Update.
Doyle scores, Great start
