Wouldn't be against the 18 team league but what a set of appalling ideas. Nothing like a fan of a club who's not been outside the top flight for nearly 50 years wanting to change the entire EFL structure. Only one club being relegated and promoted would be terrible. 46 game seasons are class, love the Saturday/Tuesday routine.
Massive games at the bottom today with us home to Ipswich and Leicester home to Everton. You'd think definitely 2 (and possibly 3) of the relegated sides would come from those four clubs so a chance for two of them to get a psychological boost on the others. Probably be two draws tbh.
Two draws is the dream. I want a team staying up on 15 points. Miiiiiiiiillllllll at home. 60-year-olds in Stone Island, police making certain roads home or away fans only only for everyone to meet on the high street anyway. What else are you going to do on a Saturday? Sit at home in your armchair ****ing off to Pop Idols?
Can see the fans turning on Martin big time if we lose today. We'll almost certainly win the possession and pass stats though and that's what really matters.
Wouldn’t necessarily be just one up and one down. The playoff game would be even more vital. You could even do 2nd-5th to keep the playoffs going and then the winner from that plays the second bottom of the PL at Wembley. 46 games is too many and why the quality of the Championship isn’t as good as it should be. Players aren’t robots and playing the amount of games they do affects the quality of their game as they’re often tired
Over time though the play off winner would pretty much always be the Prem side due to the massive gap between the sides. Only have to look at how we've performed so far to see that. 46 games is absolutely fine. Wish people would stop ****ing with the game. How often do you hear EFL managers moan about fixture congestion? Hardly ever.
Less league games means fans getting even more ripped off too. Cos clubs sure as **** wouldn't drop their season ticket prices.
4. Aways aren't included obviously. Would you be happy paying over a bag for your season ticket for 17 matches?
Every little benefit of a ST is being eroded. Prem clubs don’t want Gary, 46, who drinks in the pub and arrives at 2:59 when that ticket can be sold for £80 to a day tripper who will buy £7 popcorn and leave the club shop looking like a fleeing refugee.
Definitely a movement among the bigger clubs to reduce the amount of STH's. Won't be long before everyone is copying West Ham in binning concessions too.
Yep. A lot of clubs will penalise you for not attending a match you’ve paid up front for. Get banned for a game or two and that ticket is sold on to Clancy from Ohio who can’t fit through the turnstile. Should be illegal.
One of the reasons I'm against digital ticketing is so the club don't know how many times I've passed my ticket on.
