I reckon there’s some poncey Sky types who decide these things who would rather the short hop to Shepherds Bush than going up to Preston or wherever. Police are probably happier when fewer clubs so close to each other kick off simultaneously. It’s ****. Do I eat before or after? Meeting Millwall for a glass-throwing contest outside the Conningham at 11:30 is insanity.
because I live in East London now I passed a lot of ugly looking Orcs at Bond Street going the other way, do you have to be a certain weight to be a Chelsea fan nowadays?
Yep. Very strong lineup. However, more changes. Hopefully they can... dare I say the word... gel. I do still believe Cifuentes has the right to be finding his best 11 at this stage. A lot of players are still new and unknown in terms of character and ability, as well as on the pitch relationship with other players.
Also, I'll just add that I'm not a big fan of Anderson at the moment. He can be useful but should be a bench player. His lack of pace is bad defensively, even though he's a forward player: he is so slow he cannot challenge for 50/50s and is so slow getting to loose balls. Then the opposition pick up the ball and go on the break.
Spurs V Brentford at 3:00 too. Chatted with a Brentford fan on the train. He had the good grace to say that we have always been a bigger club than them. The only response I could muster was ‘fat lot of good that us doing is now’. The Express Tavern on Kew Bridge a couple of minutes from their kit stadium is a great pub. Don’t like two Danes in midfield. Better to have Varane in there to give Field a chance to roam.
Not a particularly fast start. Millwall with the only proper chances so far. We look lethargic. Good passing but not much purpose. Not a great first from us 15 tbh.
What is going on? Marti talks about our slow starts but nothing seems to change. Millwall totally dominant and creating all the chances. Lucky to still be 0-0.
Dembele wasted on the wing. Madsen never takes the positive option. Saito doing well when he gets the ball.
