A lot of the same old problems. Plenty of decent positions but absolutely nowhere near scoring a goal. Have we had a shot on target? I don't remember one. Final ball consistently terrible and as is so often the case, everything from the edge of the area is blasted twice the height of the goal - we really don't talk about this enough, we're ****ing abysmal at shooting from mid-range and we were last season too.

And then we concede the simplest goal you could think of. And yet it's a type of goal we absolutely never score ourselves.

To be fair, we haven't lacked fight which was my biggest concern before the game.

It's just that what we're doing isn't working at all.

Got to disagree. We do lack fight

Final ball is terrible. If we can improve that we might even score and the game takes on a different complexion. Oh, and who told McLoughlin he was free to go walkabout whenever he felt like it?

Ref is ****. Should have been a sending off but that's not why we're losing

To think this is the exciting entertaining football promised

First half stats
Goals: 1-0

Shots: 7-7

On target: 2-0

Off-target: 3-6

Blocked shots: 2-1

Touches in the box: 7-8

Fouls: 8-4

Corners: 2-3

Possession: 37%-63%

We must be truly exceptional in how few of our shots are on target. Seems like every game this season it's been loads of shots but barely any on target.

Maybe Gibson's forearm smash to Zamoras face from the first corner, which was common assault, put them off? ****ing referee, another homer so far, never saw it? Disgraceful, someone should have nobbled Gibson at the next corner, which even in a Sunday morning game on Picky Park would be expected. But they got away with it and they are bullying us all over the pitch. We are as soft as ****e, Coyle excluded.

My wife is watching upstairs. Came down to let dogs out and her first words were is the ref from Stoke, should have been red and yellow cards. You can bet that in this half the first card will for some innocuous challenge from one of our players.
