Nissanka's innings was a delight. Totally dominated what has to be said was a very lack lustre England attack. And although it probably wouldn't have made any difference in the result, but I thought Bashir was seriously underbowled in that 2nd innings.

England thrash the Aussies by 186 runs! Credit to Harry Brook for his captaincy in keeping the pace bowlers on as they were taking wickets. Had it backfired, the spinners would have had to bowl almost all of the last 20 overs, but it didn’t.
Agreed, but equally, as a fast bowler I wouldn't have wanted to have been coming on and off for 2 and 3 over spells in 9-10°.
Playing cricket in England on 27th September is unreal. But it seems to be a regular occurrence now. The county sides play half their games in April and September! It used to be a summer game. How long before they need under soil heating at the grounds and floodlights on all day?
