Strictly speaking, not true. We finished bottom of our group because we had the least points and/or worst goal difference.
We don't know what would have happened if a decision here and there wasn't given... we only know Newcastle finished bottom. Everything else is ifs buts and maybes. The rule in Europe says pen mind... was unfortunate
Like I say it was unfortunate but we could ponder every single ref decision in every game in the group for every club and create alternative futures. Lascelles got away with a handball vs psg for our 2nd at home .. the list goes on and on...each change would've changed the entire contest afterwards. It's therefore impossible to put the entire groups finishing positions down to one single event Newcastle weren't good enough over 6 games and in truth the draw put them out.
****ing irksome we had to face giants and Villa get Young Boys. Irksome and ****ing tiresome that Newcastle in every single form are up against it.
