Willock was awesome last weekend by the way. Doesn't get the plaudits that Barnes will but I assume you all saw this?

There's a few people that have been saying this about willock since the day he signed. He's a top player but just has a bad year with injuries.

He's as good as any cm at the club in his own way and possesses attributes none of the others do.

A vital player

Jesus christ I know someone that got up and played with a broken leg and didn't realise.

I did that once, broke my fibula and tibia playing, got up and stood on it
My centre-back partner had a heart attack on the pitch. He went off was sick in a bucket and then came back on as we only had 11. Found out two days later when he went to the doctor he had actually had a heart attack. Never played again.

It served him right - we were at an away game and he had been shagging a bar girl he had picked up since the previous night only sending her home two hours before kick-off.

Tell that to the kids of today.

Now you're a born again Muslim and he runs a children's charity

Funny times eh.

Sort of just filling in the blanks of how I expected that story to end.

The 20-year-old midfielder who was recently called into the full England squad was carried off with a clean break to his left fibula (the outer bone) and is expected to be out for at least six weeks.

Ipswich manager George Burley said: "Kieron scored a goal with a broken leg. It was fast and furious and it was certainly a heavy challenge.

"I'm disappointed for the boy. It is a nasty injury and especially at this time of the season it is a big blow for us, he is our most influential player.

"It is one of those things in football but he is a youngster and will get over it. Hopefully he will be back playing for us before the end of the season."

Dyer's broken leg overshadowed Town's 3-2 win over Watford which pushed them up to second place in the Nationwide Division One.

He was caught by a late, crude, tackle by Micah Hyde in the eighth minute and limped heavily for some time but appeared to have run it off by the time he scored Town's first goal on 17 minutes.

My point being that just because you can doesn't mean that you should. I think we're past the dark ages of "oh they can play on" with things like concussion and injuries, they can do themselves long term harm and it's enough of a squad game nowadays that you need to swap them out and check them over.

I’m still not sure how the injury happened. I know it was off the ball but it wasn’t like it was smacked in his face was it?

Well my faithful friends.

Isak is injured and it's not his nose, so he will be out a while

Time to give Osula a try out then.
He might as well have a go.

But no doubt regulars will just be played out of position instead.

I would expect it'll merely give Howe the chance to slot Barnes in on the left and he will move Gordon down the middle.

I recall pre season people posting a full strength 11 and using it as a reason to think Newcastle can finish top 4. I wonder if people now realise I was correct when saying we'll probably never see that 11 for one reason or another.
