It just seems weird to me because they are on the other coast to you. Mind you my lot hate Swindon, so that's even weirder.
I think Newcastle fans have a massive chip on their shoulder because we've never won anything since the moon landing. I think this leads us to hate any club that has ever since. I think that's probably the absolute truth of it, but of course our fans will deny it.
Yeah I only go into the Town Centre to reach the micro pub half way down in Canterbury St and it's just a straight walk from the station. Seems a bit safer on match days because of all the cops about and normally they have a few market stalls, so it helps create a bit of a bustly atmosphere. I was looking online the other night at the pub opposite the station (Southern Belle) had a complete refurbishment and welcomes both home and away supporters. I knew away supporters used it, because the old away pub closed down, didn't realise they allowed both sets of supporters, seems a bit risky to me, but opinions seem to suggest it works.....hmmm. I'd still advice people to get off at Rochester station, right across from the high st and pubs including a Spoons or go the next stop on, Rainham, Kent (other side of Gillingham I mean) which has a Spoons right bang next to the station.
There’s a bit of a thing there isn’t there? Remember it kicking off in the student union when they sent you down.
They've never been able to let it go... I had the same issue until I realised we'd do the same to them we just haven't managed that much like everything else.
