FFS man That's a cracker ... ... you're saying it's more intelligent to vote for someone you knew was lying, than someone you hoped was telling the truth. The level of debate on here is astounding, enjoy yourself debating.
That’s probably because you are to ashamed to debate now you’ve found you’ve been tricked by Keir Bozo Starmer. All you Labour luvvies are hiding
I thought this was a decent thread and came on for some discussion and banter. It seems your idea of debate is to call me a liar when you can't find a better answer. I've no reason to lie in response to a stranger on the internet, I'm not interested in 'winning an argument'. No one ever changes their mind so it's all basically pointless. I thought you'd been a better poster recently but it seems I was wrong. Probably best to go back to avoiding you which is a shame.
GPs now taking action it seems. Cant remember GPs making a stand like this before? New govt have their hands full dont they. When so much is knackered where do you even start.
Everything's knackered mate. This country is in the deepest ****,make no mistake. If our GP caps appointments, we won't notice any difference...can't get in to see the lazy bastards now. Have a consultation with fatty the receptionist when she comes back from her *** break.....,if no solution, then dial 111 or go down A&E.....that's all you get. ****ing useless.
Interest rate cut. Very good news. Been a while since we have seen a cut. Might need to sit tight before another, and may depend if inflation kicks back up again off the back of likely fuel cost rises. Take the small wins when they come though. Hopefully mortgage holders see the relief soon...
Let’s hope so mate, our lads mortgage is huge but I have feeling he chose a fixed rate, not sure though.
Was reading most are on fixed rate mortgages today and it wont help. Could have sworn when they were going up tories got battered for peoples mortgages going up. Now it seems it doesnt help very many at all. Anyway, hope your lad gets a better deal at some point. I was listening to Andrew Bailey and his reasoning for voting for the drop. Core inflation holding steady now at 2%. Shock of outside factors now smoothed. It is honestly like all of a sudden the media are happy with a mundane truth and will report it as such. All the better for it too and long may it continue.
I see it hasnt taken long for some old muck to be raked up about the new Labour MPs. By that I mean our society and media have got to work quickly, not that Labour MPs have behaved badly so quickly. I am not sure what to make of all this digging up historic rubbish. I am not convinved it is meaningful or helpful. But is either a strength or a weakness of social media depending on your viewpoint. Skeletons dont remain hidden on social media it seems.
2 months of Labour government. Wonder what folks thoughts are? Seen a reasonable amount of negativity on different threads. My own opinion is they pushing at the wrong doors and being disingenuous about their so called blackhole. Key week next week too for Starmer at the TUC in Brighton. Not all is a bed of roses it seems, desptite some of the pay rises dished out. I suspect they will go in hard on the winter fuel policy and he wont be able to have them remain quiet...
The Labour party having found this 'blackhole' have hung their hat on it lock stock and barrel in their first few months in charge. They don't seem to give the public any intelligence whatsoever and are hoping their supporters are going to follow them blindly, doesn't Starmer realise a lot of his support have lost the winter allowance, not just the well off Tory supporters if there is such a thing these days. Everyone of his ministers interviewed since they introduced this cut when challenged have quoted this blackhole and have no other answer as to how to afford all the want to do. Looks like the long awaited A66 upgrade over the Pennines is just one of many schemes their ditching. Labour has a long history of broken promises and I dread to think what mess the countries finances will be in when Labour eventually get found out at whatever election it takes to evict them from Downing Street. I don't usually comment about political goings on but Starmer just wants me to punch the television every time he's on.
I tend to think we have the most inept bunch of ministers I can remember. They look absolutely lost when asked anything of substance. It is scary to be honest. I had high hopes for Reeves for one, but so far she is making some pretty poor decisions. This winter fuel allowance argument wont go away any time soon. I will give my parents the money they would have lost but I am lucky to be able to do so. There are probably many like me around the country doing the same, but who knows how many cant...
It was on the news again this morning stating the heating allowance is definitely going to be cancelled, unless you are on benefits, fair enough, but I’m wondering how do MP’s manage to claim it then?
