It’s good just to have a bloke who has been there and had the experience of winning multiple titles even if the stats make him look a better player than he ever was IMO. Mostly it’s just great what a hash Chelsea have made of it. Why Sancho? Just pure banter signing.

Plus Arteta worked with him when he was at his best, as a coach at Man City. He knows what he's getting and he fits your style of play much more than Chelseas, I can't see him doing badly.

Still think the player you needed was Isak and if you'd offered 100m+ you'd have got him. I'd have had you favourites for the title then.

It's a big plus point that Arteta and Sterling have worked together before. So he should be able to slot into the team fairly seamlessly.

I would have loved to have seen Isak at Arsenal and I think if Newcastle hadn't balanced the books with a few player sales, then they might have been forced to sell him if a big offer came in.

I'm just glad they didn't get the Osimhen deal done.

I mean they probably would have ruined him anyway, but you know...

Yeah he’d very obviously improve their team so no surprise it’s not happened. Sancho reeks of an addiction to signing players. **** knows how many wingers/attacking mids they have plus those they’ve loaned out. Mental.

Yeah it's mental, they already have Nkunku, Jackson, Madueke, Cole Palmer, Joao Felix and Marc Guiu in their forwards as well as signing Pedro Neto and of course they still have the £100m misfit Mudryk

Like you say, just addicted to signing players. Sancho had a rough time at Utd and this looks like a case of out of the frying pan into the fire.

Surprised we signed Ramsdale for the sort of money we did.

Excellent keeper on a long term contract? - Good business when you consider spreading the cost over the number of season's he'll play for (could play for) - also likely to have a relegation clause re wages - and, if you do go down, you'd have the option of getting your money back via an onward sale... what's not to like?

Crazy club. I know Sancho is still relatively young but I don’t get why Chelsea went for him when they have solid options in that position already.

He isn’t a bad keeper. Maybe some games will see him improve to be pushing to be Englands 3rd choice behind Pope and Trafford

Suspect there'll be a release clause for a similar fee in the event of relegation.

Very good keeper.

I've always thought him a touch overrated tbh but that was in terms of Arsenal and he's likely far too good for us. Surprised he joined us.

He was at Wembley in May as he's good pals with David Brooks and apparently got an invite to the hotel celebrations afterwards where Martin got pissed up and begged him to join.

Obviously decided to wait for any better offers before agreeing to do so <laugh>

yeah definitely overrated. surprised arsenal even spent that much money on him. He's a good stopper but not a keeper for the big clubs imo

Evan Ferguson has been made available for loan in January. Surely half the premier league clubs will be rushing in for him.
